I have two cats and a dog. I talk to them. Sometimes I swear one of my cats is trying to talk back. And I feel like the dog understands what I'm saying just by the way she looks at me

I do sometimes. Basically, sometimes if you just stare at my dog, she'll lower right down and start grunting and growling and barking....just playful things, and I'll look at her and say "Really? Well then!!" Little playful things like that. And when I'm going upstairs and she's at the bottom of the stairs, I'll lean down over the rail and tell her "You behave yourself. You hear me?" and she'll stare at me with a funny look and tilt her head to the side, just so darn cute...I loves my puppy!!

I talk to the cats, not like my mum though who makes it out as if shes having full on conversations lol. Then my stepdad makes voices up for the animals, usually all sounding alike.  |

If my cats meowing i always say to STFU, and always am like heya puss puss. as mentioned i always say the likes of hello and buggar off, but i dont try and hold a conversation haha. |

I usually just tell my cat shes a good kitty. Every now and then she'll get in one of those moods where she meows after every sentence I say.

I tell my kitty to not touch my pot pie. +1 hahaha Yeah, I talk to my gf's cats, and I enjoy talking to all animals in general. I was talking to praying mantis I found on a bush today......I am crazy though, so I'm not assuming this is normal behavior. |

I do all the time, I have a voice that I pretend my dog would sound like if she could talk. Call me crazy but its so fun, I love my dog. I don't think my dog as a pet but as a member of my family!

Me and my sister always talk to our four dogs. We even make up funny voices for them.

I talk to my Guinea Pig named Eleanor, I ask her about her day sometimes or I tell her to hold on or clam down when getting her food/water/etc. She just gives me her wheeks lol I used to talk to my cat named Gordy (named after Terry Gordy), but he just runs away now because he's so skiddish.

I do the annoying baby talk to my cats just to get weird looks from my mom. And my biggest cat (20 pounds) Sparky... I can pretty much have convo with him because he is very vocal, especially when he's hungry.

My cat, Zigzag, and I, would sound like we were having conversations all the time. I'd say something simple, and he'd respond in a deep, Siamese-esque meow. So we'd continue back and forth, and it would sound to others as if we were talking to each other, but I only understood what he was saying.
