Great segment, though I'm sad they didn't have enough time to hold off McMahon's response until next week. It would have kept people talking. I also don't like the "if Cena loses, he's fired" thing. Just makes the ending a little obvious. Unless they're really messing with us and they use it to let cena rest for a little while. Though if he is fired, don't make it like when he was fired last year, that was awful. Truth should have won the triple threat match. How great would that have been for his conspiracy gimmick? For him to win the number one contenders spot then get kicked riht back out of the match would have been fantastic. Loved seeing Sarge, but legends showing up really shows how little we have in the way of star power now. Quality Raw over all... I think i may have to get the PPV, just to support this build up.

No way Punk beats Cena. And if he does, Del Rio, the probable MitB winner who got screwed out of his title shot will cash in and win. How bout: Punk beat Cena Del Rio cashes in and LOSES Vince comes out, says Del Rio is the #1 contender(since he is), makes the match Punk gets clocked from behind and loses. There ya go. while your scenario is more likely... let punk walk out of chicago as the champ. the intrigue as to where everything goes from there is crazy.

Rey wins MITB and cashes in on Punk. We get Rey vs. Del Rio and Vince vs. Cena at Summerslam. OR Cena can overcome the odds yet again and beat the mean man that wants to take the belt away.

I've just got a funny feeling WWE will drop the ball.
Punk taps clean to Superman Cena.

I see it as this. Punk beat Cena Vince comes out angry with the winner of one of the MITB matches and makes him cash in The MITB winner looses the match Vince fires Cena Vince tries to take the title away from CM Punk, only to get the GTS.

Positive spin: Punk wins and Cena gets fired, which allows Cena to show up at the Indie shows Punk would be at with the WWE Championship. The feud is continued out of WWE arenas until Vince invites them both to RAW and makes a Winner Take All Match at SummerSlam, where if Punk wins, he keeps the Title and is gone from WWE, and Cena got his rematch. If Cena wins, he gets re-signed, the WWE Championship and doesn't have to defend it against Punk again, who would be a free agent (again).
Cynical view: "CENA HAS OVERCOME THE ODDS AND RETAINED THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP, AND HIS JOB!", "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" and "I love John Cena!"

WWE doesn't have the guts to follow through on such an edgy storyline. I'd be very surprised if they really did a good job of "firing" Cena (since the Nexus version went so well).

Cena's always gonna win because he is WWE's "Superhero". I really hate it.

Nobody can say Cena is bad on the mic after tonight. He was improving all of that and was on freaking fire. Sure he had an outline, but he and Vince worked magic out there.

jesus christ...typical cena shit
the angle was supposed to be about punk, which essentially it was
but superhero cena had to ruin it by sticking up for the bad guy, "cuz its the right thing". another way for him to get over and be more inspirational and crap

And what if he said "Great, he's gone! Now let's move on!". You'd be complaining saying that WWE went back to their old ways. I like it a lot. Cena never said he liked Punk, but he wants the match.

I thought this was a great Raw. Actually I've been very impressed with WWE for the past 4 or 5 weeks. I can't wait for MITB

You guys should've listened better. Vince McMahon didn't said that if Cena loses, he's fired, he said that if Punk leaves as Champion, Cena's fired, which isn't really the same thing. CM Punk could win the title, yet you can have the MITB winner cash in, beat Punk, and there you go, Cena loses, Punk doesn't leave as champion.
Maybe I'm looking too far into it, but still...

Punk as Champ or bust is my view. That's the only good scenario that can come out of MITB, because it will mean more for the unpredictability of RAW than Del Rio or somebody cashing in, feuding with Cena and losing the Title in three months.

Firstly, I like Mr. F'n Saxton's idea.
Secondly, guess I'm the only one who thought RAW was crap aside from another very good Triple Threat match and the Cena/ McMahon confrontation.
Just thought it was a really poor show overall; Sgt. Slaughter in a squash match, just for the sake of him doing his patriotic thing was meh, the tag team match and the incredible Ryder promo belonged on Superstars, divas = *sigh* and I didn't even think much of the Kingston/ Ziggler segment either really (although I'm certain Ziggler will be able to succeed without Vickie Guerrero at his side).
It won't hurt though, because up to now they've actually built a PPV well, and in good time.

Didn't care for Raw at all last night. I ended up fast forwarding through most of it because I just wanted to get to Vince/Cena and go to bed.
Triple threat match was alright, nothing too special. Same goes for Miz/Riley. Everything else was totally forgettable.
Cena/McMahon segment was excellent, though. Even better than I had hoped after reading spoilers.
This angle is incredible, really. They're catering so directly to the internet audience that it's unreal, and in the process, bringing everyone in the casual market along for the ride.
I can't possibly think of a more exciting angle in recent memory. The Nexus was great, but this is shaping up to be even better. I'm just praying they don't drop the ball.

I honestly belive Punk WILL beat Cena. Vince will come out furious and say he wants to wipe every speck of Cena out of the WWE. So he reveals a brand new non spinner title. Then fires Cena. That's how I see it going.
