So here we are...18 months into Mattel's WWE figure takeover.
It's been an awesome run. There's been some amazing things released by Mattel since January of 2010.
I was one of the "non believers"...I thought after Jakks I was done figure collecting. Mattel brought me in with their great attention to detail in attires and just the overall interest in the hobby.
Now, I have 247 figures (with more being delivered today from Ringside's 4th of July sale!) and no signs of slowing down.
With all that said, onto the pics!
Entire display:
I am starting to run out of room, I may have to be making some changes soon!
Legends:
As a completeist, I really hope Mattel doesn't stop this line. It's been so awesome having better figures of many Legendary WWE stars. Casting them aside to a "1 per set" thing would be very disappointing. I've got all up to Series 5 as of now, and just one of the 2 Packs.
Elite:
This is by far the best line of wrestling figures ever produced. With all the character specific accessories & similar things, I could not have asked for any more with my WWE figures. I'm glad I made the decision to collect the entire line early on. It's just getting better. So far I am complete up to Series 9
Basic Series:
Originally I had no intentions of going far with Basics. Obviously that didn't last very long. I make it my business to get as many Basics as possible...I try and stay away from duplicate attires or looks with other Basics or Elites. Some are unavoidable.
"All Stars":
This is the shelf for those that are no longer with us, and those that are no longer employed. Just needed a place to put guys like Edge, HBK & Luke Gallows.
Entrance Greats:
A line I never had intention of collecting. Just because I feel like spending over $20 on a single figure is a bit much, even with all the bonus stuff you might get. Enter Target and their Clearance prices. Got most of these from there...and decided to complete the short lived line. I also display most my Heritage figures here...ones that are kind of like "Basic Legends"
1 of 1000's
In the beginning, I only found 3 of these w/belts in store (Kofi, Kane & Cody) Then I started to trade for some here and there, got a few good deals on Ebay (Like Goldust & HBK for $20 total) and decided I'd collect the entire belt "series"...since they stopped making them after series 7.
I also want to collect at least 1 loose chair from the 1/1000 PPV figures.
Unfortunately I only have enough wall space to display a select few 1/1000s...so I went with the 3 I've found plus my 2 other favorites. Eventually I'll be in a new place where I can proudly display the whole collection. But rest assured I have every one of them.
Finally...
Arguably the most important part of my wrestling figure collection.
CM Punk:
Jakks haters beware, I have amounted to collect every single CM Punk figure that Jakks has produced. Up to this point every Mattel as well. Just waiting for my SES exclusive.
This really needs no other explanation. I'm just featuring my MOC Mattel's in this post, but I do have other Jakks MOC.
and for fun...my CM Punk promo collection:
Thats all for now.
Comments appreciated, any picture requests, feel free to ask.
