Terrorist by definition is to instill terror. ONE attack....granted it was on an epic scale and were still letting it run through the veins of our society. The idea of a terrorist is not to repeat the offense on a weekly basis...only enough to make sure that we dont feel safe ever....and for a number of people...they have...im not saying it could never happen....but honestly like Kliq said...the chances are seriously slim.

so would you rather be scanned in a machine naked or have a whole airplane blew up by terrorists... pLUS I am sure their will be some kind of machine without a doubt, plane blown up. I don't want to live in a world where fear mongering is used as a means to humiliate and degrade me under the guise of concern for safety. My solution, special airlines for people who don't want to jump through hoops. If we die, so be it. We took the chance. You show up at the airports 4 hours early for you rectal exam. I will just amble onto the plane ten minutes before takeoff. Of course, this is unrealistic. Even if it were an option, the government would find some way to make it a huge hassle. It would also likely somehow triple the costs of flights, which would make no sense since there would be fewer employees to pay. I don't running my bag through a scanner, but everything else I have a huge problem with. I am tired of letting them blatantly prove that they can with you any way that they want to. Death first! The problem with that is you're not just putting your life at risk. Terrorists could hijack that plane and smash it into a building like we saw on 9/11. If it was just your life, I'm fine with that. You're putting my life in danger as well and I'm not on the plane at all. I 100% agree with your sentiment though. Security (or should I say the illusion of security) is just insane these days.

Shouldn't the airline(s) be in charge of security?

Well driving is better in the first place. Never have been on an airplane and I don't intend on it.

Soon they are going to have to cut you open before letting you fly. This is ridiculous, and even If it was inplanted in the body, wouldn't a normal metal scanner catch it?
