The "true story" about Lil Nog feeding a carrot to the bus thinking it was a horse and Big Nog petting it was gold. As was the home invasion of Wanderlei Silva.
I understand that people hate him for these comments and whatnot, but its time to stop taking everything so seriously. Just sit back and enjoy a comedic interview. Its better than the standard "I'll hurt him" "Ill finish him in R1" "I'm the best" interviews we always see.

Come on who has Stann beat that is so fricken wonderful? A win over Leben isn't what most of you guys will make it out to be. Hell Bisping beat him as well. And if Sonnen fights like he did vs Silva he'll beat Stann with ease.

Emphasized for sean. touche' My only issues with Chael is an interview on HDNet's Inside MMA, where he flat out said that he knows Anderson Silva takes steroids, and when Ron Krunk the interview asked him to clarify once again his previous statement, Chael's comment was along the lines of "I don't believe I said that, so let's move on". That being said, this should be a stellar fight and I look forward to the fight, just as much as the build up as I stated previously. |

Sonnen's just a gimmick. The guy knows he'll never be a world class fighter, but manages to keep himself just as relevant as a GSP or an Anderson Silva by being one of the most over-the-top, completely insane, sh*t talkers we've seen in any sport in years.
He's one of those guy's who'll do a 30 minute interview saying the sky is yellow, the Earth is made out of chocolate, and Michael Jackson and John F. Kennedy were the same person....and then deny it all 2 days later on Twitter...and then deny he has a Twitter a week later.
He's intelligent enough to keep his career alive, so he's intelligent enough to know he's just trolling everybody. But hey, it works and seems to makes for a hell of a show.
Disregarding what happened in the following weeks, the build up to 117 and then the actual fight(Sonnen/Silva) was one of the craziest things I've ever seen as an MMA fan.
Edit: Hell INCLUDING what happened in the following weeks makes it even crazier.

I hope Sonnen walks through Stann all the way to the Spider and squishes him! The guy is more than a gimmick in my opinion, he's a great fighter and uses the tools he has to promote himself and get people hyped for his fights, he's not an exciting fighter, so I don't blame him for how he promotes himself. That interview he did was  ing golden, he is so funny. |
