It really was! They had plans for two more movies and everything and the movie just kinda flew under the radar and that was that.

Barbie. It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.

The Sound of Freedom
Barbie T'was fun.
Oppenheimer Happy to see more Florence Pugh, RDJ & Alden Ehrenreich. There I thought the latter's year was just a minor supporting role in Cocaine Bear, but nah he ends up killing it in Oppy. If you're a Ludwig Göransson fan, you'll enjoy the aural experience. If I had any criticism of the film, it'd be the lack of showing the destruction of human life Oppenheimer was so afraid of. Nolan wussed out on that front.

Barbie - very fun movie, love Greta Gerwig's "Ladybird" and her "Little Women" movie was good too, so I expected this to be great and it didn't disappoint.
Talk to Me - A fantastic horror movie, I used to watch the RackaRacka (the twin directors YouTube channel) a lot when I was in my teens, so seeing them be able to make a feature length movie was very fun.

Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves. Had no interest initially in it, since I never played anything D&D, but saw a Cinema Wins video on it that peaked my interest, and I have to say, I enjoyed it. Liked the mix of action and humor and they did a good job making it appealing to someone that's never been involved with the D & D universe before.

Always like to bring up that a fellow Cobb native also happens to be in my favorite action movie.

Barbie!
Mostly good...the themes and ideas all track, I just think the jokes could have been more outright funny and less quirky throughout. I also am not and have never really been a big America Ferrera fan so contrary to everyone else who seems to have loved her I thought she was a bit of a drag on the movie and played her character super straight and safe. The Will Ferrell subplot also kind of goes over like a wet fart ultimately.
It's also felt a bit long in the tooth at an hour and 45 minutes but it is what it is.
I'll watch it again someday outside of the theater setting to see how it is but it's deserving of the praise it's getting.
