Hello everyone I am a 26 year old female who is an Avid wrestling figure collector! My dad got me started when I was just a baby my First figures were the ljn hart foundation which I still have MOC. Anyway I've collected ever since, and I make custom figs of my friends and boyfriend, does anyone think this is weird?

On a site dedicated to wrestling action figures and their collectors, fans, customizers, etc...no, this is not weird.

Nah not at all. I'm 25 and still going strong thanks to Mattel. I had lost a little desire with the last 2 years of Jakks and their bullsh*t that they fed us, expecting us to be fine with it. I bought 6 Jakks figures over the last 2 years of their license with WWE. 6. I bought close to 20 in the first week of Mattel. That should say just how much I love Mattel over Jakks, lmao.
Welcome to the boards, btw. Hope your stay is an enjoyable one. And for note: you don't need to add an attachment to every post, LOL. If you want to, then by all means knock yourself out. I'm not telling you not to. But you don't have to by any means.

I think it's weird that you're asking that it's weird.

My boyfriend is supportive of my collecting, and I agree with u about Jakks last couple of years I think the only ones I got there last Year were the Classic Deluxe eddie, dx hhh and a couple others from that set! Eddie is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, I can't wait untill his mattel fig hits stores

Weird no.....Unique yeah. But who cares, you did something with your dad that you like it. Look at it this way, your kid will probably do it too and have an epic collection

The only thing I find weird is that you post random pics in all of your posts.

The thing I find weird is the ljn hart foundation were your first figures and you kept them moc... How does a kid keep a figure moc? That's beyond me... I still have a hard time keeping anything moc. Welcome to the boards

The most my wife does is watch the odd RAW episode with me as I explain whether it's a shoot or a work she's watching.
Like zombie said, what's weird is that you kept the LJN Hart Foundation MOC - did your parents have a say in that? As a kid I couldn't bare to see a toy kept in package.

My dad got me started watching wrestling back in 1980. That was about the only thing we ever did together. Been collecting figures ever since I came back from overseas in the military, seventeen years ago. Don't plan to stop anytime soon.
Weird? Huh. If this was an in-person wrestling figure collectors club, the majority of the guys in the place would be after you.
Well, that would get kinda weird, with the boyfriend and all.
Just remember. When the end of the world is approaching, the government will activate the chip in your head, compelling you to report to the appointed place with your entire collection. You and your swill will be transported to the new home world, thus, preserving the culture / history of this world.
So, relax and enjoy.

Not at all... I actually have an aunt who when I was still in grade school asked me about all the figures I had. She had me pick out 10 of my old beat up figures and she painted them for me and made them new again. But it wasn't restoring them, she painted them different colors, gave some different hair, or put streaks in the hair, etc. It was really cool at the time, because she was really good at this kind of thing. I had all of these figures none of my friends did! Thing is, she was in her 30's at the time and was fascinated by these figures. She actually bought a few after that. Anyway, my point is that some people are drawn to this kind of thing and some are not. Being in the minority doesn't make you weird. Everyone has a part of them that others might consider different. That's what makes us interesting.
