PTW News: Number 7 and 8 Seeds Announced!
The number seven and eight seeds for the 64 man PTW World Heavyweight Championship Tournament have been announced via the PTW website. The seven seeds are as follows:
Representing Pryme Tyme Wrestling: Drew Parkland
Much like Chris Hammers, Parkland may be taking one of PTW's representative slots, but his true success has been in SNW. As one half of the New Age Lady Killers, Parkland is a former 3 time SNW Tag Team Champion. Although Parkland hasn't had much chance to shine in singles action, in either PTW or SNW, he is looking to make an impact in this tournament.
Representing Sims National Wrestling: Daniel Sinn
Parkland's tag team partner in the New Age Lady Killers, Sinn is very similar to Parkland in the sense that he has never had a real chance to shine in singles action. Much like Parkland, Sinn is looking to prove that although he is a 3 time SNW Tag Team Champion, he can also go at it in singles competition.
Representing Kings Wrestling Corporation: Angel Reid
A relative unknown elsewhere, Angel Reid was a surprising force within KWC. Reid has victories over Ace Bennett and other huge names under his belt and could very well scores some more upsets and make it far here. Reid, much like Assassin who was mentioned earlier in the announcements, has an unpredictability factor that could play to his advantage.
Representing Global Wrestling League: Jason Star
No relation to Alex Star of the Golden Boys. Jason Star is a veteran of the wrestling business, having competed in several promotions in his career. However, GWL is the only promotion of the five represented that he is a roster member of. His higher seed is due to the experience he has in the ring that he can use to his advantage against newer wrestlers. Can he turn his experience into PTW gold?
And the eight seeds are:
Representing Pryme Tyme Wrestling: Chris West
West started his PTW career off as a singles wrestler, but soon evolved into a tag team specialist upon the arrival of Donnie East to PTW. As Coast 2 Coast, West and East have gained popularity in and outside of PTW. Former PTW Tag Team Champions, C2C also were able to get their hands on the TCW National Championship, which was usually a singles championship. West is looking to use his singles experience to advance into later rounds.
Representing Pryme Tyme Wrestling: Donnie East
West's tag team partner in C2C, East isn't quite in the same boat as West when it comes to singles competition experience. East debuted as West's tag team partner and has really only fought in singles matches when he defended the TCW National Championship. Despite that, East has the technical ability to surprise people, and could very well move forward in the tournament.
Representing Twin Cities Wrestling: Jin Yamato
Perhaps the most underrated wrestler in the entire tournament, Yamato has quietly become one of the top rising stars in all of professional wrestling. As a member of TCW, Yamato went to to Dragon Gate USA, and won the Open the Freedom Gate Championship. Yamato's stock is rising, and he is perhaps the biggest dark horse in the tournament.
Representing Pryme Tyme Wrestling: Cypher
A dominant force in PTW, Cypher is a former PTW Tag Team Champion with his good friend Justin Tyme. Simply put, Cypher enjoys hurting people and often times ends up being the one doing dirty work for Tyme. This violet man hasn't been put in many matches as of late, due to fear of injuring his fellow workers, and other companies refuse to sign him. He took one of the 32 PTW represented slots in the tournament and could very well make a path of destruction to the championship.
