Wow, sounds like a uncomfortable situation you guys have there. Just curious, is it just the north east gettinh the heatwave or is it all over the US? We had a mini heat wave in London a month ago, temperatures of about 33 degrees C, don't know what that is in farenheit. It was hot for us!

I know it's really bad here in the East, but I would imagine it would be even worse in the West.

It's 101 right now in North Carolina.
I go for a daily walk every afternoon, but had to take the last 2 days off. I went today, and had to limit myself in how far I went. I only walked half as far as I normally do and I was sweating my face off.
I am actually scared to go out there for too long. It sucks.
"Excessive Heat Warning until July 23rd 10 PM"
I feel bad for my dog. She wants to play outside so bad. It's not worth it to risk her getting sick or something. A friend of mine's dog died from a heat stroke a couple of years ago. So that scares me.
Also, I think my forehead is burnt.

Just checked the news, it is 102 degrees here. This is why I like Spring the best. Not too cold, but not too hot.

I hear ya. It's 103° in Lawrence right and 106° with heat index. We've been in the 100's/an excessive heat warning for like over a week now. It's miserable.

Yeah I have 3 cats so I sorta worry about them [especially my out door cat].
I have a pretty good AC and I have a pool so that's how I cope.

It's freaking ridiculous outside man. I'm on the eastern shore of Maryland, just 60 miles out from the ocean and it was still over 100 over here. Nuts.
Wonder if this means the coast is getting more super blizzards this winter?

we've kept it mostly at bay inside. it gets a little hot between 3 and 5pm but through most of the day it stays even tempered inside with the ac constantly running. The only quarrel I have with it is that I cant take my girls out. at ages 2 and 5 months, its too hot where I am of a day....so I get to listen to my two year old whine hour after hour........

Yeah yesterday was bad here. 100 degrees, 111 with the Heat Index. That's the hottest Syracuse has gotten in years. Unfortunately we have no pool so we can't enjoy it fully.

101.
We're getting a bunch of thunderstorms. Yesterday we had around 2,600 lightning strikes in one storm across the state.
