One of my absolute favorite cartoons of all time. I have the entire thing on DVD and I love it. My first introduction to comic book characters. MUCH better than Spectacular Spider-man, IMO. ;D I see your Granny Goodness, and I raise you... ...Sgt. Mike Cosgrove. [/argument]

Loved the show, and loved the toys even more!
The humor sensibilities that Spidey had in the series is exactly what I hope they achieve in the reboot.
Spider-Man: Wait a minute, did you just call yourself Hydrant-Man? The dogs must love you!
F*cking, Eh!

I wish they would release the entire series on DVD instead of individual episodes. They have, or atleast they have in the UK, check SilverVision and there is a link to the Marvel site which has it, its about £50 I think, maybe more maybe less. they have been released on region 2 not just the UK.we have them in Ireland too.

The Lizard episode was a staple of my childhood. The amount of times I must have seen it. DEFINITELY! One of my most memorable childhood moments from when I was about 5 years old was watching the Spiderman episode with the lizard. I remember it being the coolest thing I had ever seen at the time. I think the show had it's ups and downs as I hated certain storylines such as the vampire one as I found them so boring but the venom saga was done very well.

Watching it now, I'm not sure it has aged as well as Batman. Batman lured me in every episode until The batman and robin change. Spidermans kinda a hit and miss

Spider-man Animated Venom saga > Spider-man 3 Venom saga
by about 1 billion
i loved the show as a kid, and still love it now. same with the 90s animated x-men and batman.
personally i think the mark of a good kids show is one that can be engaging and enjoyable for adults. means it's good quality and they aren't dumbing it down.

Definatly one of my best and strongest memories from my childhood, i was born a spiderman fan ( his comics were litterally the first thing i ever read from the moment i could read) and it was my first time seeing my favorite superhero in motion outside of my printed comics so i had a blast, which might make me look back at it maybe too fond but i still believe this is one of the best cartoon series ever made. even when i try my best to look at it objectivly and not "rose tinted spideyfan" , i still see a darn fine series. it had good animation, good story, intresting developments and an amazing theme song, ohyeah let's not forget those cgi/3D graphics they used sometimes...sure those did not age well looking back today but back then i thought that was so cool ! if i need to really name 1 gripe, it's that they couldn't use real guns & bullets and had to use laser guns all the time which wasn't really realistic, specially whenother cartoons like batman, did get to use real guns, and also the fact they were forbidden to use hard words like "kill"..it made spideys show look more kiddy even tho in my opinion, at it's core, it wasn't that much softer than batman.. anyway, love it very much and have the complete series on dvd standing proud in my collection of dvd's ( i also have the complete spiderman unlimited series on official dvd! even tho it never reached the original series greatness and was shortlived,i kinda liked it.. )
