I knew something was going to happen after the match. Glad to see Punk come back. But does this mean that Rey and Cena's wins tonight are now erased from history? Seeing as Punk is back, and is still the WWE Champion.

I heard Cult of Personality play and I jumped up out of my chair and was like "Oh My God! CM Punk is back!!!" I hope he beats Cena and becomes the true champion.

I think Punk should have just randomly shown up in street clothes to cause trouble from time to time

Thanks for the vid. Punk's the hottest thing in wrestling right now. It's great that he's back in the mix.

I think Punk should have just randomly shown up in street clothes to cause trouble from time to time Totally agree with this. It should have gone on much longer. I had faith with the SDCC crash but that should have extended to multiple moments like that.

Punks theme is so familiar, but i have no idea where i've heard it It was Stone Colds HOF Theme, and it was in Guitar Hero III. I love Punk, he´s my all time favourite. But, this really killed my buzz in a way. All that excitement, edge of the seat moments, all the way up to MITB. Which had my heart pounding every minute, then when Punk ran through the crowd, I was screaming in happiness that he left with the title, that was the best send off I have seen. And now, 2 weeks later. He´s back. I think they should of panned it out longer tbh.

I really hope Punk beats Cena. Its the perfect time to turn Cena HEEL IMO. Here, we have Punk, whos supposed to be heel right now but hes sooo over that the fans are turning on Cena again. Don't this up WWE. they sure did fuk up brets career by doing that

The only thing missing was the suit... Also, why would he use Miseria Cantare, when the lyrics are "nothing from nowhere, I'm no one at all", and he's the champ and the best in the world? Wouldn't really fit him.

...is it wrong that I think if WWE would have done this whole thing with Punk randomly showing up, as some of you suggested, that around 70-80 percent would have complained that they were "milking it for as long as possible" or that it would have, "gotten stale" and/or "they need to just bring him back because this is getting old, and I'm sick of it now"? Even if it would have gone on for just a couple more weeks?
I mean, I can't read the future or anything, but I'm betting a lot of people would have done and said exactly that. WWE struck while the iron is still red hot, good for them.

Wouldn't really fit him. This is true, but hearing the drums at the beginning would have made me mark out so goddamn hard.

So if Punk didn't come back, and the main event of Summerslam was Rey Mysterio vs John Cena for the WWE title - you all would have been happy, right?
Anyway, I think Punk coming back last night was the right decision in order to set up Punk/Cena rematch for Summerslam which was pretty inevitable. Obviously, Punk has signed with the WWE - hell, his contract probably wasn't even supposed to run out on 17th July anyway. The use of his ROH theme is pretty telling and it adds a bit of extra depth to the storyline - and the fact that they keep leaving us on edge by the end of the show leaves us wanting the next week to come in a hurry.
Brilliant work in my opinion by WWE.

Punks theme is so familiar, but i have no idea where i've heard it It was Stone Colds HOF Theme, and it was in Guitar Hero III. Cult of Personality by Living Colour That song is one of the greatest songs to come out of the 80's IMO hard rock/Metal wise. I've seen Living Colour live three times. Vernon Reid is a beast of a guitarist.
