The new theme sounds more like a song played in a strip club. But it was time for a change.

Of the two you listed I would say Cult of Personality, but Miseria Cantare still reigns as my favorite Punk theme.

 ing hell, this thread is on here TWICE already. Enough with the CM PUNK threads, it's flooding the board! Can we please can an official "blow CM PUNK because he says cool stuff on teh mic" thread, it's about time. I am so sick of these threads about him flooding the main page. You can't go one day without 4 topics about him popping up. God, this newfound fandom of his needs to die down, and quick. Thanks for your intelligent input on the topic at hand. You could always, you know, NOT ING CLICK IT!! back on the topic...Cult of Personality by far. Fire burns was just horrid IMO, Ive hated it since day one. |

For some reason, Punk's entrance at Money in the Bank made me like This Fire Burns a lot more.

I chose This Fire Burns. I think Cult of Personality works better for a video montage or something, rather than someone's entrance music IMO. Not really sure how to explain it.

I think Fire Burns suited him up until Money in the Bank especially with the fan reaction he was getting with it near the end and it suited the nexus too , But when he came monday night it just seemed to be a much fresher theme and suits him so much more cannot wait to see what he has to say on Monday night,
And to that other guy piss off and don't read the threads if ya don't like them

Cult of Personality seems more like a theme that would be used for a face.....even though the crowd is 99% behind Punk and everyone except the children are against Cena. But in the "WWE Universe" he's still treated as a heel by the announcers and other characters.
Speaking of Cult of Personality....didn't WWE use that song in a Stone Cold Steve Austin video package as recently as a few months ago? Punk has had some run-ins with Austin recently, coincidence or not?

I´m sorry, but do you understand the meaning of a ¨Dead board¨? This place is NEVER Dead. We have over 11,000 members. Half of those members post in the WWE Board. You want to see a dead board? Check out the WF: Canada board, or the Ringside fest 2010 board. But, to the guy you quoted. You don´t like the threads? Fine. I didn´t like the Ryder threads, then we got an official Ryder thread, it just doesn´t work. Punk is the HOTTEST THING GOING In WWE Right now, if we should be talking about anyone, it´s him. He deserves all the threads, just like Ryder did. I didn´t like Ryder, I Didn´t like the threads. But I learnt to live with them, and I realized. He deserved them. Same goes for Punk. I prefer This fire burns, it just suits Punk so much more. CoP sort of suits him in a way, he is basically a face. The fans love him, he doesn´t trash talk us anymore. Punk as a face type of character, Cult Of Personality suits him. It´s a very face sort of theme. |

This Fire Burns symbolized Punk's loonnngggg chase for the WWE Title ("All I've ever wanted / was destiny to be fulfilled. It is in my hands / I must not fail"). As much as I prefer it to Cult (which is still an amazing song, but Fire gets my hyped to no end when I hear Howard hit that scream), Cult fits his current story-arc as Champion much much better.
