I think Mattel floated this idea as a replacement for the dead Legends line. They probably felt the 6" market can't be expanded unless the real life WWE increases their fans. They need new fans willing to buy 6" figures. Maybe that will happen someday. But they probably don't want to completely lose the Legends shelf space so create a new scale/line for the already hooked on action figures fanbase.

i personally hate the idea. Focus on basics and legends and keep funds there. A new line wouldn't be taking funds away from existing lines. Shelf space, maybe, but not funds. $$$ from Mattel's pocket is still Money. I'm sure they have a certain amt of funds they have for each brand as a whole and not for each individual line. Either way, no scale NO BAD IDEA MATTEL. Last thing I want is the elite line to suffer. Before we know it all elites will come with a rubber shirt and poorly produced figures.

I'd buy BCA, but I really don't need to try and afford anymore additions.

sorry mattel but i'm only interested in the regular 6.5"-7" scale figures. i'm not interested in anything larger or smaller. Yeah and put that effort into the Legends!

Only way I would want a new scale is if it were a Hasrbo size scale with similar qualities to the figures. This has been something of a dream since Hasbro ended.

No thanks. How about you focus on strictly Elites and Basics.

I've thought about the same thing some seconds ago... why not scratch the FlexForce line, and make them in 3 3/4 inch scale with new Action Features!

A 3 3/4 scale won't be able to support Flex Force movements, they will snap and break. Now Legends are going to be exclusive on Matty.com and Flashbacks, I say go ahead and make another line/scale. If it flops like EGs, then stop. Only way I would want a new scale is if it were a Hasrbo size scale with similar qualities to the figures. This has been something of a dream since Hasbro ended. If it flops like EGs, then stop. That's my feeling on it, too. Give it a shot, and if it doesn't work out, then stop. Mattel staff, don't let negative reactions on here stop you. We were all "ZOMG Legends~! Will buy a million!" a while back, and you took that as representative of the wider audience, and look where it got you. Listen to us, but don't take us too seriously. We're a tiny niche of the market. None of the product will live or die based on our reactions.

Mattel, please don't bother with another scale. The current basic and elite lines are incredible, and there are small rumblers figures for the kids along with flex force. If anything it would be awesome to mix in a few elites into the PPV lines without accessories, so we could pick up an elite here and there for a few dollars cheaper.

Why would you change the scale?
Instead of looking at different products, improve on what you have.
If they change the scale, I will stop collecting the product. They have basically killed the "legends" line. This is just another kick in the ass from Mattel.
Keep the scale just the way it is.
And make the Orton/Punk RKO statue figure you showed. It should be an addition not a replacement of anything else.

I am very pleased with the current scale, in fact I think it is perfect.
I Would not mind a new scale IN ADDITION as long as the quality of the current line does not deteriorate. However, Your focus in my opinion should definetly be on the current line and the Rumblers. Also, I am quite far into my collection so If I bought some Other Scale figures they may not be compatible from a display perspective, but as I said the main thing is the quality of the current line and The Rumblers.
I also think we should be given more information like whether they have Elite Articulation etc. Also It would be nice to see a few pictures.
It may be off the topic but a slightly larger Rumbler in addition to the current line would be Great.

If you were talking about an Unmatched Fury type of line, similar to the Punk and Orton statue, then I would say definitely yes, but as far as like a 4inch GI Joe/Star Wars type line then I would say it depends on what they look like? I would buy Punk and Ziggler for sure just to say I got one but I can't say I would start collecting that line the way I do the Basic and Elite lines. I guess my concern would be that it's already hard enough to get the Basics and Elites I want with the distribution so adding another WWE product on the shelf to essentially compete with the already existing lines is something that I sort of worry about to be honest. I have Targets around me that are out of Basics and Elites but have tons of Rumblers and FF so nothing new over goes up, and I can't see the addition of another scale helping that cause. I'm definitely interested in seeing prototypes or whatever but the bulk of my dedication to Mattel and WWE will be with Basics and Elites because of how much I have already invested to this point I'd also say definetly yes to a series of things like that Punk/Orton statue at CC11 But I don't have a clue what is because there is no detail on it, could we please be updated on this. Thanks

Here is a great idea, if Mattel has so much money to burn maybe they could add this cash into the budget of existing lines. Such as painted belts for basics or they could bring back the stands and tags for figures.

Such as painted belts for basics or they could bring back the stands and tags for figures. They'd be spending extra money on a new line with a view to making money back off that new line. If they spent that extra money on existing lines, they'd want to make that extra money back off the existing lines, which would mean a price increase. Unless two million more people would buy the figures if stands and nametags were added. That'd keep the profit margins up. But it is fantasy.Mattel is trying to make money at this, it's shocking how few people on here realise that. Their WWE line is a business, not a charity for wrestling fans.

Some people need to go back to school because reading comprehension is lacking in these threads.
Mattel isn't changing current scales, they are tossing the idea around to create another smaller scale. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

I'd like either a 3 3/4 line like the BnB line, or an Unmatched Fury style line.

3 3/4" Would bring in alot of cash to Mattel. Wrestling fans would buy them as would GI Joe collectors, or anyone that collects Marvels 3 3/4 line.
3 3/4", DO IT Mattel!
