The only new scale I'd be interested in is a high-end collectible 1/6 scale similar to what Hot Toys puts out. Can you imagine some of the more elaborate attires like Taker, Warrior, Savage, or HBK with this kind of detail? ![](http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_2kjisMm3M9Y/SduYG6Pd4PI/AAAAAAAAIYM/d58EuOfI4zQ/s400/Joker+Figure+Hot+Toys+MMS+DX+01.jpg)

I'd love a 4Inch scale line that would be compatible with GI Joe and Marvel Universe. Playsets could be more elaborate in that scale at a reduced price.

I wouldn't even look through a shipment of 3 3/4 figs. I'd be highly interested in Mattel's take on something like Jakks' Maximum Aggression. I'd love to see a line of 10" or 12" super-articulated figures.

IF Mattel put out a Sideshow quality 1/6 or 1/4 scale HBK, I'd buy it even if it cost $200.

The 6" figures are pretty much perfect. One of my biggest compliments is the scale of the figures, which I don't know could be accomplished well in a smaller scale. If it helps the bottom line for you guys, go for it, but it's not something I'm all that interested in.

Not sure if this is in the cards but I wouldn't mind a 1/6 scale.

If it doesn't interfere with the other lines and Mattel is willing to invest in 3.75" figures, then I don't have much problem with it. However, these figures have to be articulated enough to pull off all types of wrestling moves and not be pre-posed, action-featured, or limited in movement. They should avoid being like the Build N Brawls, though. They were very loose and floppy figures. If Mattel makes a deep roster, cool accessories, and nice playsets then it sounds like a neat idea.
That being said, though, I'm not sure how many I'd be able to buy. I've invested quite a bit in the Basic/Elite/Legends figures and can't afford to switch to a different collection. I like the Elites too much, they're awesome!

Matty Collector has 12" Ghostbusters and Superman. Line could be exclusive to the site too. As an adult collector I have been after something like this - don't want no crappy rotocast, no crappy Jakks Ringside Rebels 12" - I just want a proper scaled premium 12" type line. I would prefer that it was Legends orientated and wrestling gear orientated i.e. dont want Austin in jeans. Line needs to be a little more premium/quality than the Ghostbusters/Superman - as the poster I have quoted said, I want something to match Hot Toys.

It really depends! I'm not interested in smaller figures. If it's bigger or maybe something like the Orton/Punk at Comic Con I would buy a few of them that I consider my favs, but you really need more space to display them.

Very interesting. Ive been very keen to see Mattels attempt at another scale line hence why Ive been asking at Q & As. I would be more in favour of a larger figure though as I prefer them but Im definitely open to a smaller scale. How much I buy I cant say because it depends on things like distribution/how much im purchasing of the main line/quality/etc. Id definitely be keen to see what can be done and whats possible.

Save the money that would be used to produce these and pump that cash into the current lines, instead. Pumping extra money into the current lines would mean the current lines would then cost us more money to buy. Think before you post, kids.

Save the money that would be used to produce these and pump that cash into the current lines, instead. Pumping extra money into the current lines would mean the current lines would then cost us more money to buy. Think before you post, kids. I would love to know how old you are that you continue to refer to everyone as child and kid. Were you a business major, is that why you have this chip on your shoulder? Additionally, you continue to talk about retail pricing when Mattel deals with manufacturers and wholesale distributors. The only time they deal in retail pricing is on their website when it is direct to consumer, so that being the only time retail pricing would be impacted by production. In addition to that, increasing a lines production budget doesn't necessarily mean an increase in suggested MSRP. It could also open up additional outlets to make revenue, or that money could go into a marketing program that offers a return high enough to spend more money. It's not unheard of for a company to spend more money on a product without a price increase if they can move more volume. If added detail meant more sales, and they had research data to support that theory, then that can happen. Quality does factor into the goods being manufactured as well. I don't know why you continue to attack people, but I do know that I work with manufactures and distributors every single day at my job and there is a lot more that goes into price points and allocated budgets than just the wholesale cost. Additionally, most outlets pay different wholesale pricing based on volume. Mattel could more than likely afford to spend more money on the lines going to places like Target and TRU, and still cover their margin, assuming it made sense to do so. If that isn't enough for you, remember that wholesalers control the MSRP. A Mattel figure at wholesale is probably $5, so the retailers are selling them for $11 or $12 because they want to make above 50% off each item. If Mattel raised the wholesale price to $6 then it's up to the retail outlets whether or not to increase the price. That extra dollar could mean the world of difference in terms of details and/or an accessory and it may push more volume. So Mattel could tell Target, hey the wholesale price is going up marginally but we can assure you more volume is going to move so don't increase the MSRP. But then, I guess you have it all figured out.
