once again, that's an interesting question, however it doesn't refute my point.
for the sake of answering, i don't view sources from the internet, tv, or major book publishings as valid sources of information. i simply do not. i view it as things to consider, things that are highly likely or unlikely, but by no means necessary fact. i don't view any sole source of information as proof as that is just ludicrous in my opinion. and that absolutely includes the us gov't or any of it's branches.
so i would tell you that i believe we went to the moon, however i do not know this for absolute truth. i have only been told of it, as we all have.

I wasn't trying to refute your point. I was honestly curious what you considered to be proof. If someone tells you we went to the moon and you ask for proof that's fine. I'm with you completely. I'm just curious what kind of proof that person has to provide to convince you. What does he need to show you to make you say, "Ok, I believe you. You've proved it."

i would probably have to be directly engaged in the actual happening and see it take place for myself. even then that's not irrefutable evidence, but it'd be enough 'proof' for me i suppose. don't get me wrong, i 'believe' we went to the moon, but i do not know.

Is that your standard of proof for just the moon landing or for everything?

i find it humorous anyone would believe anything for less. That's how the scientific method is structured. Proof does not require first hand evidence in the scientific method.
