I can't give you a direct side by side comparison, but from memory:
1. different opening screen
2. "Improved" graphics in SADX- amy and sonic I think look less fat in the face
3. SADX had the unlockable Game Gear games
4. SADX added the mission mode which was actually pretty good replayability-wise


there may have been a few extra emblems and chao stuff or something, and a crap ton of other superficial things. but that's all i actually remember

it's also said that a bunch of the fall-through-the-ground-and-die bugs from the dreamcast game were fixed.. but I certainly recall enough of those in the gamecube version >

I'll tell you something... I LOVED Shadow's character....

(SONIC ADVENTURE 2 SPOILERS IN WHITE JUST TO BE SAFE AND NOT GET IN TROUBLE)
Loved his character. Do I think he should have been brought back past 2002? No. He was introduced for that game. He redeemed himself and became a martyr in that game. He died, and is dead, in my heart. But no. He's cool. He's emo. He's dark. Everyone loved him. And he certainly helped fill in a team in Sonic Heroes. That's one thing I didn't like about Heroes.. the cheap 'oh man my mysterious past' storyline. That whole game seemed like a cheap cash in compared to the great continual storylines of SA1 and 2. Except some passing references to Chaos' tail and hte Chao, Sonic Hero just seemed like a fake side game cash in. What Sonic Generations is. I still want SA3.

But at least Heroes brought the Chaotix back.

If my uncle gave me a Megadrive instead of a SNES i could join in this conversation.

I think it will be a good 10 or so level nostalgia boost (actually the post SA2 levels will be new to me) that will just make me disappointed that it's not a complete kind of deal, not a full adventure, and missing a lot of the characters and stuff I love (fang. but at least he's gonna be on a background poster. oh and chaotix. bring carnival island back eh?). It's just going to want to make me play the classics again. It's just going to want me to listen to the original, epic version of City Escape's theme






I think they did explain shadow's whole story in "shadow the hedgehog" (got it off of a friend last year and never bothered beating it. it was that not good. . but there were 16 endings to it anyway. all different. and the aliens from that game I don't think were ever mentioned again. oh okay.

Yep. I couldn't have cared less about Sonic after Heroes. But yeah, I do agree with you on the intro to heroes being epic. along with the final boss song. Heck, the music was all awesome. I had the complete album.



Most memorable stage music;



the final airship levels, both acts, were also pretty epic music-wise

NO WAY, I WAS IN A PIZZA PLACE ON MY LATEST BIRTHDAY PICKING UP PIZZA AND IT TOOK 45 MINUTES EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID 15 MINUTES (/anger thread) AND I PLAYED SOME MONSTER PINBALL TO PASS THE TIME!!!


Oh and I also remember some firehouse breakfast in the late 90s, I'm talking 7 AM kind of stuff on a Saturday, and they had pinball and it was epic. So was the french toast.

Not sure what Pinball machine it was, it was either Jurassic Park or Godzilla. I was pwning at it, i played for like 10 minutes and still had 3 balls, i was pissed because i had to leave and the kid behind me stole my other turns. >:l

Parents give their kids iPhones? I still haven't bought/got my own. Data plans are freaking insane. i don't got that kind of monies. but i'm a technological dude. I wish I had one. so I could banter during lunch hour. yeah. that's the only reason I would want one. j/k

But yeah, "arcade style" gaming is definitely manifesting itself in the form of mobile. and that's the whole way gaming is going... short minigames. heck, every game is getting short. even 60 dollar ones like that X-men one. terrible. it's like, game developers are making games less immense just so you finish them quickly and go buy the other ones. and people society and "casual gamers" can't sit down and have an adventure that takes over 5 hours. what the heck dude.

one reason I liked Pokeman Black- took 32 hours to beat. granted I had a couple till-3-A.M.-marathons, two to be exact, to beat it in three days but it still gave me that time and value.
