The Green Lantern titles and that's it for the first 6 months. If DC keeps its word after that time there should be a shake down and we'll see what books stick around. If by then the books have settled down and have a good pace and story to them I'll get the back issues and go from there.

Nothing. I haven't read DC in a few years and I know I would not be able to follow the continuity.

Care to explain what DCnU means? I was always a Batman fan, but I stopped reading about when the whole "Return of Bruce Wayne" story was about to start up.

DC New Universe; it's the name given to the re-launch that goes live either this month or next month. Basically they are starting from scratch (Issue 1 of everything) with alot of past things being erased such as deaths, relationships, events etc.

Ahh, okay. Thanks man!
I wonder how it'll affect Batman? I hope they don't ret-con the comics I read a few years back. The whole Dick Grayson as Batman thing was something I really hated the idea of at first but really loved when I started getting into it.

Afraid so; i can't find anything concrete but it looks like Bruce is back as Batman with Damian as Robin. Tim Drake is Red Robin in the Teen Titans series (and looks stupid in his costume) and i imagine that Dick is going back to Nightwing.

I really loved Bruce and Tim as Batman and Robin, and at the same time I thought Dick and Damian had a great dynamic to their version of Batman and Robin. But I'm not liking the father/son idea for Batman and Robin, unless they kill Damian or have him not be Robin anymore.

Batman Detective Comics Swamp Thing
Many of the titles don't interest me much but I might check them out. Really glad DC is doing this as I can finally start my comic collection starting at issue one.

I'm just about to read the first issue of Swamp Thing, here is what I've read so far.
Action Comics #1: Really enjoyed this one. A younger Superman early into his career, unable to fly yet, and with limited powers, leaves a lot of good potential to develop the character early on, very anxious to see where this goes, and I'm liking what I'm seeing of the Clark/Lois/Jimmy interaction so far.
Detective Comics #1: Appears to be fairly early into Batman's crimefighting career, so his relationship with the police isn't too defined yet, and he doesn't seem to quite know how to truly handle Joker yet, great little twist at the end, excellent so far, cannot wait for the next issue.
Justice eague #1: Slower paced issue, but I thought it worked here. This is one where it's going to take several issues to truly get going, but they make it so you want to see where it goes.
Batgirl #1: Tied with the detective comics as my favorite issue thus far, done so well, following Barbera is just going to be so interesting, and The Mirror could be a great villain, cannot wait to see how this plays out. If you hadn't put much thought into getting this one, I implore you, please at least give this one a chance. This one is great.
Green Arrow #1: The weakestof what I've read so far, but still enjoyed it. Not a must have, but I like where it leads to, I think this is going to be one of those that gets better with time, it's going to leave a nice groundwork, but it could be hit or miss, we will see where it goes, I'm definitely getting issue #2 though.

I ended up getting stuck covering the DCnU story for a friend's blog so I now have all the comics released so far to review. After going through JLA, Action Comics and Green Arrow I can say the theme of my reviews will center around "you'll have to wait and give the creators time to settle in." Not overly impressed with any of it but there is clearly a larger picture they are working towards building.

Also, heads up to anyone getting Green Lantern #1, the continuity from before is intact, so if you are looking to just get into Green Lantern, you may be a bit confused
