Honestly, it's things like this that make me glad Mattel has the WWE licence now. Are you talking about the same Mattel that cant even get its products into stores?

Half the people posting on this page dont even collect Jakks stuff You can confirm this because you know everyone in this thread personally and well enough to prove that. Right? I mean I'd hope you weren't just... mindlessly bashing something. No, but i can read (can you?) And many people just came here to say "glad i dont collect Jakks".

The same one that just shipped out huge kiosks filled with new series of Elites, Basics, Legends, Defining Moments, and Rumblers to TRUs across the country. Meanwhile TNA figures are sold exclusively online and at TNA live events. You can confirm this because you know everyone in this thread personally and well enough to prove that. Right? I mean I'd hope you weren't just... mindlessly bashing something. No, but i can read (can you?) And many people just came here to say "glad i dont collect Jakks". Who said that? Quotes?

Those of you blindly blaming Jakks are not only absolutely in the wrong, you are completely unfair. Both Jakks and Impact Wrestling were going forward with, extremely excited to, and ready to produce this figure.
If you want to blame someone, blame Wounded Warrior. They are the ones that not only backed out of a situation, but backed out of it AFTER sending representatives from their organization to an open media event. If the rumors about them backing out of this to move forward with WWE are true, then not only is it wrong, it is atrocious.
The exclusivity of a charity makes absolutely no sense to me. But, if Wounded Warrior feels it will receive more charity money from one wrestling company than from another, then that's what they feel.
They will however at this point, receive nothing from me.

I have no idea. As long as no one is commenting publicly about it we won't know, but that's what it looks like from all of our standpoints.
By "our" I mean us as the general public. Unless it looks like something else to someone then feel free to chime in.

I have worked for a large charity. Sometimes we had to choose between competing companies for donations/partnerships. Who did we choose? The ones who offered us the best support. I'm sure Wounded Warrior could get far more publicity and support from WWE's media machine than from TNA. To diss Wounded Warrior, a great charity, because they chose a larger media partner at the last minute, is ridiculous.

It's not ridiculous if they've not only announced a partnership already, but even attented an open media event celebrating the partnership. I understand the business behind the decision, but that's still a very shady and unfair thing to do. I don't blame Jakks in this instance, or really anyone for that matter. Sounded like a good idea with good intentions that just fell through. Still a dick move on WW's part if it's true.

I don't see the point in having to choose between two charitable options because one company you are working with is competing with another. All I am saying is their timing couldn't have been more awful. If they wanted the higher level of publicity and support (support = money) from WWE, fine. But to do it at the last minute and saying nothing after it's over while letting Impact and Jakks take the heat instead of just publicly stating you chose a bigger company over a smaller one is pretty lame.

Too much bickering going on in here and we now have an updated thread from Jon. Use that one and keep it civil.
