Hi everyone. Akosa here... I owe this board a visit.
By now, you have probably heard that the TNA/Wounded Warrior exclusive figure has been cancelled.
While I am not going to be able to answers questions around this cancellation, I wanted to come on here and share JAKKS' official statement on the cancellation:
JAKKS has learned that the agreement announced at Comic Con between TNA and Wounded Warrior Project for the limited edition TNA Wounded Warrior figure has been cancelled. As a result, the figure that JAKKS was scheduled to produce cannot move forward. JAKKS Pacific is disappointed with this unfortunate turn of events.

TNA and Jakks are fine. Where are people getting the info that they are not. TNA and Wounded Warriors Project went Sour. Jakks had to cancel that figure. Please READ befor you make a comment.

Kids, this is the beginning of the end for TNA/Jakks. Retailers are canceling orders left & right. And they can't break into Walmart. That right there promises you have a year-window at best before you fold. Then they lost Target. TNA is not even a big license for Jakks and they are nowhere close to folding due to the success of their UFC line. Why dont you worry about Walmart and TRU cancelling orders for Mattel WWE Legends 6, Basic 12 and Tag Teams 10 instead. |

Aksana? nice think i just seen you on Smackdown lol kidding. but yeah its better that they did that and took that dumb angle off shelves already. They already got one angle out and another new one about too drop in DI6 the last thing any tna collector wants or needs is another Kurt Angle. Hopefully they make a better new exclusive for us. I bet that Matt Hardy will end up being the exclusive

Simple. The UFC line selles like shit. I see old, OLD figures sitting on shelves for months at the time. Plus, many of thejoints are loose as can be. Also, in response to the Mattel bashing, Mattel made some abd decisions, yes. Their distribution was off on the first 3 series of Legends, and they made poor decisions on the names for the line until Series 4. If Mattel was smart, they would've kept the line at reatail with the current pace they have right now. I've seen Legends 4 sell out at my Target, and Legends 5 is about to be soldout at my TRU. Why is this? Because the names were much better, and the distribution was much smarter. TNA, however, can't even get their product in stores. To be honest, I think people would buy their figures, they just don't get the damn things out there. THat's why I can't collect the TNA line. I would never have enough figures for a decent roster that's worth a damn and up to date. |

Simple. They're flying off shelves because Target just put them on clearance for less than $3 dollars. Wal-Mart had them on sale for $5, and TRU has gotten in one new series in about 4 months. The UFC line has slowed down tremendously and you obviously don't follow it, otherwise you'd know they had to scale the line down and cut figures, and typically about 2-3 figures get pulled every time we've seen line-ups or protos, mass detail including sponsor logos and other things are also always cut. Ultimate Battles series two hit probably close to 6 months ago and we've yet to see series 3 pop in stores. Series 7 was ONLY released to Target and so far series 8 has only been released to Meijer's, which is a store only available in a fraction of the country, according to collectors from this very board. We've only seen about 7-8 new protos for the REST OF THE YEAR and RSC has NO new series, exclusives, or anything Jakks UFC related up for pre-order. These aren't made up opinions passed out as facts like yours, these are actual facts. From a casual standpoint, the line is a huge disappointment, hard to collect, and not really worth the effort, time, or $$$. |

Why dont you worry about Walmart and TRU cancelling orders for Mattel WWE Legends 6, Basic 12 and Tag Teams 10 instead. by the way TNA Line figs are going worst every time, i went to my local kmart today(august 8) and saw like 10 or 8 tna figs there from the first series and all of them didnt had the right cardboard on the back, there was joe with sacrifice and others. by the way why would TRU walmart would cancell Basic 12, Tag Team 10 and Legends 6 from WWE? i dnt understand tht cause wht i see is tht they sell out super fast on the stores i went to TRU and found series elite 9 but went the other day and there where none left |

I never once said I worked for Jakks. Although a buddy of mine from high school is now the toy buyer for Walgreens. Fact: Walmart never sold Jakks TNA. Fact: Target no longer carries TNA product, clearancing all product over the last three weeks ago for store resets. TRU doesn't have them on shelves because a: they don't order them anymore, or b: Jakks can't get their sh*t together to keep the line active.

I have a decent amount of UFC figs, and every figure I own accept the first 2 I bought (Royce Gracie*2) I got clearence for about 4 to 3 dollars. I only bought Royce at full price cause the guy paved the way for MMA in the USA.
Now as far as the TNA "deluxe" impact figures..... I've never bought a single one. And I dont plan on buying any either. Jakks knew the collectors wanted RI figures not deluxe. I own a large amount of Jakks Classics and Ruthless Agression figures. Once Jakks decided they would only do deluxe figures they pretty much lost me as a customer.
Why would I shell out 10 dollars for Jakks deluxe figures, and start a whole new collection? Why wouldnt I just go buy Mattel? I mean if im going to start collecting from scratch I'd rather buy mattel. AND I HATED mattel at first. But they have wwe, wwe has a huge history and roster of guys who could be made into figures. Not to mention mattel didnt just give up and die as Jakks seems to have done when faced with the challenge of starting a new figure line.
Not to bash Tna's roster, but Jakks talked of NWA, and NJPW figures. Why didnt we get a single NJPW guy? The Hogan and Angle were nice but seriously? Rehashes is how Jakks wanted to push NJPW figures on us? To me it seems like Jakks is in the spot it is in because it turned it's back on the collectors (28 series of classics that they could have built the LOTR on, but no..... let's go the deluxe route instead) along with rehashing themselves right into the clearence isles.
