Triple H shakes hands with Edge on top of the stage - “Introducing the new General Manager of Raw…EDGE!” -----------------------------------------------------------Alex Riley vs. Dolph Ziggler – US Title Match- The commentators are shocked by Triple H’s announcement, wondering who will new GM Edge bring in, but who could Raw potentially lose? - This is a rematch from last night at Summerslam, which saw Alex Riley win his first singles title in the WWE! - Standard Raw opener, Alex Riley is continuing to impress with big crowd reactions and an improved workrate - Vickie Guerrero tried to get involved in favour of Dolph Ziggler but was caught by the referee and Dolph Ziggler has been disqualified! - Dolph looked furious afterwards, hitting A-Ry with the Zig-Zag and storming out on Vickie Guerrero ------------------------------------------------------------ It was announced that tomorrow will be the season finale of NXT: Redemption, who will progress to Season 6? Those rookies & their pros will be revealed tomorrow night, along with an ALL-NEW FORMAT, only on WWE.com! ------------------------------------------------------------ Backstage, new Raw GM Edge was settling into his new office when Rey Mysterio come in - “Rey, so good to see you man!” - “Hey, seeing as your in charge now, I was wondering if I could ask to cash in my rematch clause for the WWE Championship, tonight, here on Raw!” The crowd pop for this - “Well you see Rey, you are my friend and all, but there’s somebody else who is looking for a rematch…” and with that John Cena walks into the office - “So tonight, in the interest of fairness, it will be Rey Mysterio vs. John Cena, and the winner will face CM Punk for the WWE Championship at Unforgiven!” -----------------------------------------------------------Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger- Both of these men have been working hard the last couple of weeks, and with a new regime, a good showing here could be what they need to move up the card - A great back-and-forth match, the finish came when Jack Swagger caught Kofi’s Trouble in Paradise attempt and managed to turn it into a gutwrench powerbomb! - Swagger smirked after his win, he could be headed for big things in the Rated-R(aw) era! ------------------------------------------------------------ “Cult of Personality” hits the PA System and out comes the Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk! - “Well, well, well, look who’s back on top of the mountain?” - Punk cuts a scathing promo on Triple H – “Who do you think you are trying to stop me from winning the WWE Championship Hunter? Are you looking for a revolution? Because I’ll bring one, and you damn well better believe it, I’ll tear down all the walls you put up in front of me and make you sit there, watch and like it” - Punk is interrupted by R-Truth, who comes to the top of the stage. - “This is a conspiracy! I won last night at Summerslam, and do I get into the Number 1 Contenders match? No! Edge…is a LITTLE JIMMY!” - “Well Truth, if you want a shot at me so bad, why don’t you move down here and I’ll give you one and see if you deserve it” -----------------------------------------------------------CM Punk vs. R-Truth- A very intriguing match on paper, Punk working as the face in this scenario - Truth puts up another great showing in a main event spot once more - Backstage, Triple H is watching intently, as are Rey Mysterio & John Cena - Truth almost has the win after a NAAAAASTY looking superkick, but can only manage a 2 - Truth tries to go for the “Shut Up” but Punk wriggles free, picks him up and sends R-Truth to sleep for the 1-2-3 ------------------------------------------------------------ After the match, new Raw GM Edge comes onto the stage! - “Well Truth, after that I have some great news for you. The conspiracies are OVER! I have just spoken to Smackdown GM Teddy Long and he has said that YOU are the first person he wants on Friday Night Smackdown! So Truth, say your goodbyes, and get the hell out of my ring!” - The crowd chants “Nah nah nah, hey hey hey goodbye!” as an angry R-Truth storms out of the ring! -----------------------------------------------------------Alberto del Rio vs. Curt Hawkins- Blatant squash match - Del Rio dominates and wins easily, but it’s nice to see Hawkins on Raw for a change - Afterwards, Del Rio says that the wheels are in motion for his title opportunity and he will soon become WWE Champion, because THIS is his destiny -----------------------------------------------------------John Cena vs. Rey Mysterio – Number 1 Contender’s Match- Great main event here on Raw. - Cena works hard trying to ground Mysterio, using rare psychology to focus his attack on Rey’s legs, going for the STF on a number of occasions - Mysterio manages to get Cena in place for a 619, yet only manages a 2 count! - Mysterio climbs to the top rope for a splash but Cena manages to roll out of the way just in time and locks Mysterio in the STF! Rey has no choice other than to tap out, and John Cena is going to Unforgiven! - As Cena celebrates up the ramp, CM Punk stands on the entrance way, holding up the WWE Championship, but what the hell is going on in the ring? - WADE BARRETT storms the ring, picking up Rey Mysterio in Wasteland position, but throws him over the top rope to the arena floor! - Has Barrett come over from Smackdown? Cena runs into the ring to clear him off, and Barrett walks up the ramp with a cocky smile on his face. - He stares nose to nose with Punk at the top of the ramp as Raw goes off the air! -----------------------------------------------------------

8/16/11
-----------------------------------------------------------
Titus o' Neil vs. Darren Young
- On this, the season finale of NXT: Redemption, the last moments can be the most vital - While Titus has looked impressive all season, it was the NXT veteran Darren Young that picked up the victory with a well timed roll-up - After the match, Matt Striker came out and said that the voting at the minute was so close and the winner has changed twice already!
-----------------------------------------------------------
- After a commercial break, Matt Striker announced the new format for NXT: Season 6! - For the first time ever, there will be no "pros" for each rookie, but WWE superstars will be showing up to challenge the rookies for the first time in NXT - There will also be no challenges, no points, it comes right down to the WWE Universe! - The winner of NXT6 will also have the right to pick ANY match they want for their debut, against any member of the WWE roster at Vengeance! - And tonight, there will be a special "preview" battle royal featuring the 5 new rookies to debut on NXT6!
-----------------------------------------------------------
Matt Striker vs. Derrick Bateman
- Striker stayed in the area, taking on Derrick Bateman after constant verbal putdowns from the brash youngster - This was one of the best matches of the season, and the crowd loved it - However, the student managed to turn over the teacher, and it was Derrick Bateman picking up the all important last victory
-----------------------------------------------------------
- A video piece hyped up the new 5 rookies for next season's NXT - They are: - Seth Rollins - Dean Ambrose - Richie Steamboat - Peter Orlov - and Xavier Woods - Which one of these men will be the NEXT breakout WWE star?
-----------------------------------------------------------
- Matt Striker gathered the 3 NXT finalists in the ring - The drums started. And the winner of NXT: Redemption and getting the last spot in season 6 is...
- TITUS O' NEILL! - The fan favourite has really come along this season, and looks overjoyed. He certainly made this season a win
-----------------------------------------------------------
NXT6 5-Man Battle Royal
- For the first time ever, next seasons cast got their debut on the finale of the previous season, with Titus o Neill watching from ringside - This was an over the top rope style match, and the first person eliminated was Peter Orlov, a hard hitting youngster from Russia - Next to go was Xavier Woods, an experienced ring veteran getting his first opportunity in the WWE - Down to the final 3. Seth Rollins and Richie Steamboat decided to team up on Dean Ambrose - Swerve! Seth Rollins threw out the second generation star just when it seemed clear! - As Rollins, another veteren of the ring shrugged his shoulders at Richie Steamboat, Dean Ambrose, an angry young man came from behind and threw out Seth! Dean Ambrose wins! - Dean Ambrose celebrated his win, pointing at Titus. What's going to go down next week when Season 6 begins?
-----------------------------------------------------------8/18/11
-----------------------------------------------------------
Johnny Curtis vs. Chucky T
- Local wrestler Chucky T is getting a big opportunity here, going against NXT4 winner Johnny Curtis - However impressive he may have looked, Chucky was never going to get too far in this match, finally being taken out by Johnny Curtis - After the match, Curtis went under the ring and pulled out a horse's head from a costume - He placed it on Chucky then began to beat on him - Curtis grabbed a microphone "Remember...never beat a dead horse. Unless he's not dead yet" - After a few more stomps, Johnny Curtis finally left the ringside area
-----------------------------------------------------------
- There was a video recap of Triple H's announcement on Raw that the brand split was coming back into full effect - Scott Stanford at ringside explains that the rosters will be locked after Friday Night Smackdown, and that Teddy Long intends to show off his 2 un-named picks and R-Truth at the beginning of the show - Josh Matthews then states that he has heard Teddy Long has a blockbuster announcement to rival Triple H's, and we'll have to tune into Smackdown to see it!
-----------------------------------------------------------
Jinder Mahal vs. Yoshi Tatsu
- This is Jinder Mahal's first match without the Great Khali, who was apparently "still bringing him down" - Yoshi Tatsu got some great offense in, battering Mahal with furious kicks and strikes - However soon the power was too much and Jinder Mahal brought Tatsu back down to size with a big 2 handed choke bomb - Mahal said to the camera afterwards "This is only the beginning"
-----------------------------------------------------------
- We were treated to a repeat of the same video package from NXT, reminding you that Season 6 starts on Tuesday!
-----------------------------------------------------------
- Another Raw recap, this time showing the main event of John Cena vs. Rey Mysterio - Attention was paid to the shocking beatdown of Wade Barrett, now officialy on Raw, onto Rey Mysterio - New Raw GM Edge has promised to resolve this situation on Monday night!
-----------------------------------------------------------
Drew McIntyre vs. Evan Bourne
- Big time main event here on Superstars! - D-Mac showed off a new, arrogant, ladies man persona tonight, showing particular attention to some fine ladies at ringside - "Air" Bourne had a great showing here tonight, hitting Drew with a wild tope through the ropes to the outside! - However, after missing his patented "Air Bourne" finishing manoever, Drew managed to hit the Futureshock DDT for the victory, ending Superstars with Drew on top!
-----------------------------------------------------------WWE News & Notes- For those wondering, it was indeed PWG's own Chuck Taylor going against Johnny Curtis. It is believed Triple H has a new right hand man, helping him scour the independents for the next CM Punk or Daniel Bryan. We do not know yet whether anything permanent has been arranged with Chuck, or whether there will be more signings to come, but for those interested, Claudio Castagnoli & Chris Hero announced today that they are leaving Ring of Honor - The new WWE ppv structure will work like this: Hell in a Cell, Bragging Rights, Night of Champions are no more. It is undecided as to what will happen regarding TLC or Elimination Chamber, however it would work out that each brand would have one of the 2 PPV's, so there is a good chance that they will stay. The next PPV, WWE Unforgiven takes place on the 25'th September and will be a Raw exclusive event. The next event after that will be Vengeance, a Smackdown event. The roster will come together for the PPV's announced by Triple H on Monday, and the occasional 3 hour Raw (such as the Slammy's, the Draft etc) - This approach was taken so as to build new stars on either brand, give them more TV time and allow those with potential to rise to the forefront. Some names that have been thrown around that could be heading for a big-time push include Jack Swagger, Jinder Mahal, Mason Ryan & Justin Gabriel, however this is strictly rumour and should be taken with a pinch of salt - In light of having no Hell in a Cell pay-per-view this year, it is planned to have one at an upcoming pay-per-view. The only feud that we can see heading for the cage would be Cena/Punk as a number of agents backstage have seen last Sunday's Summerslam to be the end of the Christian/Randy Orton feud. - This would add on to the announcement on Superstars of Teddy Long having a big announcement on Smackdown. We can only assume this is a name coming over from Raw to be the next top challenger to Christian's title, and if you pushed us to put money on someone...Kofi Kingston. Yep, you heard right. - No matches have been announced as of yet for Friday's Smackdown, although the local dark match is advertised as Sheamus & Randy Orton vs. Christian & Mark Henry

WWE SummerSlam: Sunday 15th August 2011...Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett would have been a pretty fair opening contest; I honestly don't see much chemistry between the two if I'm honest though. Bryan needed the win in his first feud since winning Money in the Bank. Beth Phoenix winning the WWE Divas Championship was a good move; will be interesting to see if they actually take the title from Kelly Kelly next Sunday. R-Truth beating John Morrison was acceptable, but I am bored of their feud. I hope they end it at Hell in a Cell (avoid using that match for this, though), and Morrison definitely needs the win; it's been all R-Truth since the beginning. Not fond at all of Alex Riley winning the WWE United States Championship. It's too soon for him, and Dolph Ziggler needed a longer title reign. If Riley keeps the title, let Ziggler zoom up the card, by all means. Riley's finisher is the Implant DDT, by the way. Sheamus and Mark Henry going to a no contest...I guess Sheamus AND Big Show are gonna be rivals of Mark then. Would rather Sheamus intervene with the World Heavyweight Championship picture honestly. Christian retaining the World Heavyweight Championship was good in No Holds Barred...but how would he beat Randy Orton on the announce table? You realize that with No Holds Barred, the only way to win is being in the ring and getting the fall. CM Punk beating John Cena is another thing I'm mixed on. Punk has basically bettered Cena in the past Summer, and now Cena has lost TWICE to Punk...Cena needs to look strong, should have had a win here. That way, he would look somewhat still credible to The Rock this coming WrestleMania season. Also not sure why Triple H would get involved. All in a all, a mixed bag show booking wise. Had the show been in greater detail, it could have caught my eye a little more.
Releases: Good move to let go of Conor O'Brien and Tyler Reks. Lucky Cannon should have been something more. Brodus Clay also had potential, he only resurfaced on WWE Superstars last Thursday. Not sure why Goldust has been released; he was doing a good job training the divas properly. Hornswoggle, while he has nothing much to do anymore, I doubt WWE would let go of him now. The Great Khali getting released was a baffling move; he was a part of a storyline with Jinder Mahal, and they had potential. Let's see who's next to go.
WWE RAW: Monday 15th August 2011...I think you need the newer RAW logo to header this. That and the logo's massive, too big. Not fond of the noted writing style, either. It makes things look slightly messy. I don't think that Triple H would reveal the pay-per-views in the next twelve months on RAW, it's not quite something they'd do. They'd either officially reveal the name of the next pay-per-view after the previous pay-per-view casually, or just simply let it be known via dirtsheet/WWE.com calendar. I wouldn't count Survivor Series as a Big pay-per-view either, anymore. Unforgiven? RAW exclusive? Oh God. I'm preparing for a weak pay-per-view. It just strikes me as though you're trying to live the younger days of the brand split, which isn't good in terms of expanding the product. The reason the brand exclusive PPVs ended was because they weren't bringing in good buyrates, and at this stage, a brand exclusive show with not a whole lot of star power will get low buys. A slight brand tweaking could be good, as long as it's only minor and doesn't change the main event scene on RAW and SmackDown a lot. Edge returning as RAW General Manager could be good, a lot less of Triple H on-screen so soon is a disappointment, too. Alex Riley and Dolph Ziggler was a good way to start off the show, a rematch for the WWE United States Championship. Vickie Guerrero costing Ziggler the match? I hope we see a Ziggler face turn/split away from Vickie coming up. She's ruining his potential of getting his own heat, and I'm bored of that power couple stereotype. I could imagine Ziggler and Riley facing off at Unforgiven. Good, finally ending NXT Redemption. Gonna be intrigued by who is coming in for Season 6. Ugh, a third CM Punk and John Cena match at Unforgiven, or a rematch from three of 2010's pay-per-views and Capitol Punishment. I'd rather we got a triple threat match at Unforgiven, it'd mix things up in a good way. There hasn't been a multi-man WWE Championship match in so long. Kofi Kingston and Jack Swagger had a decent match I suppose, Swagger winning was for the better, hopefully it's not too late for you to minorly push him. Kofi however, I couldn't care less for him. Strange position for CM Punk to be on the show. I'd rather it was after the third match, but I suppose this is cool. Punk and R-Truth's confrontation was amusing; you can't catch Punk's dialogue that well. I'd rather you just described what they were saying to each other than having quotes. Not sure about Punk facing Truth, as Punk's still sort've playing a heel role whilst so is R-Truth. And heel vs heel matches never work. Expected the WWE Champion to win. R-Truth to SmackDown is great; there he could actually make for a credible World Heavyweight Champion. Alberto Del Rio and Curt Hawkins? Why? They're both heel, Hawkins has a good cocky gimmick working for him, this made no sense. There are plenty of other guys on the RAW roster that would have benefitted from not being on Superstars, but rather RAW, and still lost. Hawkins is not one of those guys; he should be brought up good. I suppose it's too late to say that now. Also, Del Rio is Mr Money in the Bank, yet he is in a squash match? I hope you have a plan for him going into Unforgiven. Three weeks to build, could be a tight squeeze. John Cena and Rey Mysterio had a fantastic main event a few weeks back; good match, Cena winning was pretty obvious, really. Wade Barrett back from a ten month serve on SmackDown? He's not going to get far on his own on RAW, I'll say that now. A feud with Rey Mysterio could be good, hope there's some reason to why Barrett attacked Rey though. Overall, a weak fallout show. It had all of the generic stylings of a fallout from a pay-per-view, but there are so many booking faults you need to work on. And layout, as well as writing style. Lacked a lot of star power and roster names (Evan Bourne, the divas, etc). I'd also put in a few more backstage segments. This has got potential, but it's looking really bland at the moment.
WWE NXT Redemption: Tuesday 16th August 2011...I don't know what possessed you to have the orange background. It looks atrocious if anything. RAW was in black; what happened to that? I'd rather you only use color on the match headers, too. More layout styles to work on. Titus O'Neill losing to Darren Young was an odd way to kick off the show. Would have rather had Matt Striker discuss the season finalé to kick off the show, as it seems like a principal that the Host and Hostess of NXT kick off the show. Striker's announcements for NXT Season 6 was nice, I like your original ideas, but I feel you need the Pros, really. If the Rookie can't talk at all on the mic, he needs backup. Also makes for a lot more variety in matches, too. Matt Striker in action after that announcement was a confusing move. NXT 6 is only lasting two months? Such a strange move, after this season has had about 20-25; more than any previous season. Wish we had more backstory to this, like Derrick Bateman interrupting Striker's speech would have been fantastic. Bateman beating Striker was a wise move, you're doing a good job in somewhat creating tension between previous associates, Bateman and Young. Season 6 is looking fair. I noticed you have Seth Rollins (Tyler Black), Richie Steamboat (Ricky's son), Xavier Woods (Consequences Creed) and Peter Orlov (Alex Koslov) in the next season, which makes it the most independent-crazed season yet. Not sure if I'm a fan of that; would have put in a few FCW produced names really, like Bo Rotundo (who seems like he's going to be on WWE television soon anyway) and Aaron Stevens (the guy who has been in WWE's developmental on and off for ten years). These Rookies will not get enough character in the space of six-eight weeks of NXT Season 6 though; there's a reason why NXT is several months long, to progress Rookie characters. If they're out week after week after week with barely any character or personality, nobody's going to care. Titus O'Neill winning NXT Season 6 is my great guess, not sure why he won though, he lost to Darren Young earlier tonight. Also, with Hornswoggle previously released, I'd think he should have been employed to see his Rookie win, and then leave. With Young and O'Neill without Rookies in the past month or two, it's made the Pro concept look pointless. NXT Season 6 starting off tonight is a bit rushed. I'd have waited for next week, where you could get more views for the premiere, as opposed to the views this show will get, alone for the Redemption finalé. Ambrose winning was a smooth move, glad that he defeated Titus O'Neill, could set up some good for Season 6 and sets the stage. Again, not a bad show by any means, just a lot of booking flaws. Should have waited for the battle royal to go on next week. Also lack of Tyson Kidd, Yoshi Tatsu and JTG makes this seem pretty out of the ordinary. A lot to work on. Also, more backstage stuff could have involved the previously mentioned uninvolved Pros on the show.
WWE Superstars: Thursday 18th August 2011...Johnny Curtis with a win is a solid way to kick off SmackDown's portion of the show, he should have faced another SmackDown superstar though. A squash match to start the show would indeed be a weak move. Liked his aftermath promo, though. Jinder Mahal and Yoshi Tatsu have had more matches this Spring than I can count. Mahal with a win was best, he has a future in the company. Drew McIntyre and Evan Bourne on Superstars is a fair main event. Bourne winning was the right decision. Overall, this was the best show of the week so far. Should have fit in another match though, and once again, you're lacking divas on television, which is a terrible move since you just crowned a new WWE Divas Champion; Zack Ryder, as well as the WWE Tag Team Champions, Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga are also missing in action. Work on the layout.
WWE News: I hope you don't use former independent talent for all enhancement talents you use on WWE television; just use locals, or FCW workers. Nice to see Chuck Taylor with a chance though. Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero being confirmed is good. Not a fan of Night of Champions being dumped. Do not dump Tables, Ladders and Chairs and Elimination Chamber. Chamber if anything, is the sixth 'Big Five' pay-per-view you have. It should remain joint-branded. If Hell in a Cell was still around (which I wish it was), you should have carried Randy Orton and Christian into it for one last match. CM Punk and John Cena doesn't fit the HIAC stipulation at all. You'd only need one Hell in a Cell match to promote; that one match alone would sell the pay-per-view. Good to see Jack Swagger, Jinder Mahal and Justin Gabriel perhaps getting pushes, wish Heath Slater would too, though. Mason Ryan? Dump him. Kofi Kingston to SmackDown is for greater good, the dude isn't good for RAW anymore. Theodore Long made a weak draft choice, there. Kofi and Christian would be a dire feud to carry the SmackDown brand though. No matches announced for SmackDown? What. SmackDown is taped with NXT and their Superstars portion...that doesn't add up at all.
Has potential, needs a VAST improvement.

Hey man, thanks for the in-depth feedback, I've got some long term plans for the guys you've mentioned, so keep an eye out, and hopefully it can live up to it's potential. -----------------------------------------------------------
WWE Smackdown! 8/19/11
-----------------------------------------------------------
"You know it's the mack militant..." Welcome everyone to Friday Night Smackdown! and tonight we are kicking things off with the Smackdown GM Teddy Long, flanked by his assistant Zack Ryder. After the shock announcement on Raw that the brand split was coming back into effect, Teddy Long announces that he has not only his 2 other signees to debut, but a hot new concept to take over Smackdown, playa! Starting tonight, after various complaints by members of the Smackdown roster that they haven't had a chance, there will be a 16 man tournament, where the winner will face Christian for the World Heavyweight Championship at Vengeance! The crowd go wild, and Teddy explains that the tournament will feature 14 of Smackdown's finest and his 2 newest Raw signings...
"SAY IT TO MY FACE!" Oh my God! I thought champions couldn't change? Alex Riley is on Friday nights! Teddy announces that he and Edge decided to swap the Intercontinental and United States titles to their original homes. The brackets for the tournament are shown on screen
Sin Cara vs. Ted DiBiase R-Truth vs. Kane Jinder Mahal vs. Daniel Bryan Alex Riley vs. Heath Slater Cody Rhodes vs. Trent Baretta Sheamus vs. Jey Uso Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry
But the first match is taking place now. Jimmy Uso vs the newest member of the Smackdown roster...
"I CAME TO PLAY!" OH MY GOD! THE MIZ IS ON FRIDAY NIGHTS! The Miz walks out on the stage to a THUNDEROUS roar, stopping briefly to stare at Teddy Long before walking down to the ring. His first round match-up is next!
-----------------------------------------------------------
Number 1 Contender's Tournament First Round Match The Miz vs. Jimmy Uso
The crowd were still going WILD for The Miz, who was getting a lot more of a face pop then usual. The young Samoan come to the ring flanked by his brother Jey, and had a much more competitive match with the former WWE Champion then he had any right to. After about 5 minutes of relatively back and forth action, Jimmy missed a superkick attempt, and Miz quickly got behind him and nailed the Skull-Crushing Finale, rolled him over and got the 1-2-3! The Miz progresses to the next round!
Winner: The Miz
After the match, The Miz grabbed a microphone. He said he doesn't matter what dweebs in the back he has to go through, he is winning this tournament, and winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Vengeance, because he's The Miz...and he's AWEEEESSOOOOOMMMEEEE
-----------------------------------------------------------
Backstage, Jinder Mahal was with Josh Matthews. Jinder said that he fired The Great Khali after such a short amount of time because he wasn't already at the top, and when you're the kind of man that Jinder Mahal is, you expect to be at the top immediately. He said if there is anybody in the backstage area that thinks they can beat him tonight and take his place in the tournament to be his guest
-----------------------------------------------------------
In the make-up room, AJ Lee was with Kaitlyn getting their hair done when out of nowhere come Beth Phoenix, clotheslining AJ off her chair! When Kaitlyn tried to come to the aid, Beth threw her lag a ragdoll straight into a wall! Phoenix stated that now she is Divas champion, she chooses who, where, what and why she makes her defences and there is nobody on the roster good enough yet
-----------------------------------------------------------
Number 1 Contender's Tournament First Round Match Cody Rhodes vs. Trent Baretta
At the announcers booth, Booker T announces we will see 4 of the 1'st round matches tonight, with the other 4 next week on Smackdown. This is the second of tonight's 4. Trent Baretta has been picking up steam lately, getting more and more noticed for his talent and high flying ability. Cody seemed dazzled by Trent's quickness, almost falling victim to the Dudebuster DDT but Cody kept ahold of Baretta and threw him over the top rope. When Baretta got back in, Rhodes immediately pounced, getting him in position and hitting the Cross Rhodes for the victory, and more importantly, progression into the next round of the tournament!
Winner: Cody Rhodes
After the match came the ritualistic "bagging" of Trent Baretta in the ring, and Cody walked off with an evil smirk on his face
-----------------------------------------------------------
After the commercial break, Jinder Mahal was already in the ring. He asked anybody not in the tournament to come out and try and take his place, and as some familiar music hits the system, WILLIAM REGAL comes down to the ring! Mahal smirks but as Regal gets onto the apron, Jinder runs and knocks him off into the barricade! The crowd boo heavily as Jinder quickly scrambles to the outside, putting the boots in on the helpless Englishman. Officials begin to come down to the ringside area, but Mahal keeps them all at bay, continuing his assault on the Englishman. Jinder picks him up and hits him with a devestating full-nelson slam on the outside! Mahal smirks and leaves the destruction in his path, this is one guy who looks like he needs a freight train to stop him
-----------------------------------------------------------
Backstage, the WWE Tag Team Champions, David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty were watching the television, and an old tag team match was on the screen. McGillicutty said that in his fathers day, there were some of the best tag team specialists ever to grace the squared circle, and now nobody is giving it, or them any respect. Otunga turned to camera and said if they want to prove themselves as the greatest tag team champions of all time, they need some better competiton. And starting this Monday on Raw, they are going actively HUNTING for competition, and if nobody is going to bring the fight to them...they'll bring it to you

Number 1 Contenders Tourament First Round Match Sheamus vs. Jey Uso
Earlier on, Jey's brother Jimmy was unsuccessful against The Miz, could the other Uso do anything against the Celtic Warrior? Sheamus used his power all the way through the match, and looked to decapitate Jey with a Brogue kick but Jey fell into the referee who tumbled out of the ring. As Sheamus went to check on the referee, Mark Henry came from nowhere and squashed Sheamus against the apron! Henry grabbed Sheamus and gave him a World's Strongest Slam onto the edge of the steel steps! Mark threw Sheamus back into the ring, then the referee. Jey Uso is crawling over!

3! Holy cow, Jey Uso just pinned Sheamus, and it's all thanks to the World's Strongest Man Mark Henry!
Winner: Jey Uso
After the match, officials came to help Sheamus to the back who looked to be having quite a bit of trouble getting the air back into his lungs. Who knows what damage could have been done to the Celtic Warrior
-----------------------------------------------------------
After the commercial break, there was a recap of Mark Henry's brutal assault and Jey Uso's shocking win. Before the main event however, World Heavyweight Champion Christian comes down to the ring! He says he should have a few months off, after the brutal No Holds Barred match on Sunday, and not only that, he doesn't even know who his next opponent is going to be, he has to wait for a tournament? Christian says to be honest, it doesn't really matter, because the title over his shoulder proves that he is the BEST, and that all the guys left in the tournament can enjoy the competition because when it comes to facing him, they don't have a chance in hell. Christian sits down at the announce booth for the main event as Smackdown cuts to one last commercial
-----------------------------------------------------------
Before the match begun, a video package played showing R-Truth will make his Smackdown debut NEXT WEEK!
Number 1 Contender's Tournament First Round Match Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry
Arguably the biggest match-up from the first round brackets, Randy Orton will have to beat the World's Strongest Man in order to progress. Orton tried to use his quickness to outpace the WSM in the early stages, before being crushed against the turnbuckle and slowed down a lot. Christian was loving seeing both men try so hard to win, as they will both be "damaged goods" by the time he has to face them. Orton climbed to the top rope in a rare attempt, but was caught by Henry in position for the World's Strongest Slam! Wait! Orton reverses it into a DDT and begins to wait, slithering, for the RKO. At this point, Christian left the announce booth and tried to distract the referee. As Orton notices and begins to go over, someone comes charging down the ramp. It's Sheamus, ribs taped up and all! As Henry gets to his feet, Brogue Kick! Sheamus rolls out of the ring, and as Christian tries to alert the referee to what's gone on, he gets a right hand from Orton for his troubles! Mark Henry, very dazed, gets up onto 2 legs, then brought right back down with an RKO! 1-2-3! Orton wins!
Winner: Randy Orton
Orton lies in the ring, as if he's waiting for an RKO, staring at Christian who looks apalled by what has gone on. He raises his World Heavyweight Championship in the air as Smackdown fades to black!

This is good. I was actually just talking to my roommate about how I hate that the brand split doesn't mean anything anymore. I love Edge being the Raw GM and I like the setup of the show. I also would have liked to see Orton vs. Christian in a Hell in a Cell to finish their rivalry. Really the only other thing I didn't like was the Uso going over Sheamus, hopefully the tag division gets a little rebirth.

WWE SmackDown: Friday 19th August 2011...I am disliking the idea of this tournament. It's just not needed at all, really. Alex Riley coming over to SmackDown is a good move, he's not going to get too far for too long on RAW. Quietly returning Sin Cara is a sly move. The Miz on SmackDown as well as Riley is a bad move, in my opinion. I'd rather have gotten one of the two on this brand. I guess Miz adds to the poor main event scene though. Weak opening contest with Miz obviously beating Jimmy Uso, doubt Miz would get cheered though. Plus keep in mind that the Usos are faces. Generic aftermath promo to go with it. Can see Miz reaching the finals, but it's so obvious that a face is winning this, because Christian's a heel. This is the pointlessness of a contender's tournament. Cody Rhodes beating Trent Barreta was very obvious. Didn't see the point in Jinder Mahal's promo. It made William Regal look dumb, which is pathetic. What reason is it that Regal came out? Regal came out to answer Mahal's challenge and he got punked ridiculously. Sheamus facing Jey Uso? Face vs face match, makes things stupid. Jey getting the win makes Sheamus look awful, Mark Henry interference or not. R-Truth making his SmackDown debut? Ha. There wasn't really an excuse as to why he wasn't on the show tonight honestly. And lastly, Randy Orton beating Mark Henry seemed likely. I see Orton winning the tournament and facing Christian again, really. Bad show, very bad. The tournament is pointless; a face like Orton is obviously going to win it. Also, there was no real flow to the show, no undercard angles, and four matches for a SmackDown episode is awful. Think your work through more.

The blue is used too much. Makes my eyes ache. I don't understand the reason behind swapping championships really, Riley was doing fine on RAW, and Ezekiel is nowhere near ready to be there. Miz on SmackDown! I really don't like, because there is more than enough top heels with Henry and Christian. As well, 'Thunderous roar' for The Miz sounds so wrong. The brackets all look really predictable, apart from Orton vs Henry. Which is never good. The Miz shouldn't be a face at all, let alone on Smackdown, such a bad move. The promo from Miz was about the only good bit of this show so far. Not really enthralling backstage segments, Mahal is quite boring so far, give him some character, and Phoenix wouldn't really act like that, she never did before. Seems too out of character. I like Barretta getting a chance to shine, though losing out to Cody was the only way it should've ever gone, so thats good. As well, it just seems like Cody has no direction now, he had a feud with Ezekiel who I presume is on RAW now, so thats done. As well, where is Ted DiBiase? He's always with Cody. I like that Regal came out to try and beat Mahal, but he seems settled in the role he has on NXT in all honesty, so I doubt it'd pan out like that in reality. i get you may be trying to change things up, but it feels like too much too soon. I do like that your acknowledging the problem with the Tag division, 'bringing the fight' is very Nexus-like, and matches the two's personality's that were developed in that group. Jey Uso over Sheamus, I wish you hadn't done that really for Jey Uso, someone else yes, but Jey isn't going to benefit from it stuck in a tag team. It put over Henry more than him, which I suppose was the point, so well done there. Don't know what you intend on doing with Christian, a world champion with no direction making promo's like that? Eh, I don't like it. Henry being Brogue Kick'd and RKO'd before losing keeps him strong, and helps Orton get through against a credible opponent in an entertaining main event. Good end to what wwas a pretty poor show. You've tried to change too much too quickly, and it just feels so forced, almost not like the actual real life product is, and you always need to retain that even if you're changing the product around. Stick with it!
