THE BIRTH OF ETERNAL Hello wrestling fans, my name is Rich Adams. Before you close this page out while asking yourself, 'who the f*ck is Rich Adams?', I want you to hear me out. You see, this website is dedicated to the new regime of professional (and non-professional) wrestling. I am only a 25 year old kid from Hicksville, Long Island (yes, a real place) and I mean nothing to the big guns in the industry. Quite frankly, I am just a blogger and reviewer of sorts. To be honest, I am really just doing my best friend a favor by keeping track of his new wrestling promotion, Eternal Backyard Wrestling. Oh wait, you guys know nothing about this promotion. Let me give you a brief background on what the hell I am talking about really.
You see, my friend Christopher Everett has watched wrestling his entire life. Growing up on Long Island, he used to attend every World Wrestling Entertainment (and Federation) show that came to either the Nassau Coliseum or Madison Square Garden. Sure, the shows weren't plentiful, but he made the most out of it. Living with just his father after his mother was taken when he was younger, Chris used wrestling as an outlet and disappeared from his troubles while watching these programs. Chris met me when we were in sixth grade and he instantly got me hooked. Honestly, once things got stale, I stopped tuning in, but you could always count on Chris to watch and enjoy the programs. It seemed to be a special bond that Chris shared with his father, who also would watch every week, with or without his son. While I thought about going to business school and getting my degree so I can start my career, Chris trained to become a professional wrestler. Well, in his first real 'boot camp' of sorts, Chris got himself hurt and was told he'd never make it in a business like this. It's not that Chris was small or fragile, he just cared so much and took too much pride in his work, that it would destroy him too easily. The day he was sent home from that camp with a busted leg (torn MCL & ACL to be exact...not a picnic), I made a promise to him that if we ever ran into any kind of money, we'd try our hand at our own promotion. I figured by then, I'd have a substantial business background and I would be able to handle the business side of things while Chris would do the booking.
Well, it may be under very unfortunate circumstances, but it appears that time has come. You see, there was something Chris didn't know about his family and his mother to be specific. About six months ago, Chris found out his dad had stage four lung cancer and basically had days to live. One of the last times I talked to Mr. Everett, the three of us were having dinner. Knowing this may be one of the last times he'd see his son, Mr. Everett pulled Chris aside and showed him something. Mr. Everett explained that he had set up a trust fund for Chris after his mother passed unexpectedly. Since he knew Chris didn't have much to work with in his life, he wanted to leave him something worthwhile. Mr. Everett told Chris that once he passes, he would become the beneficiary of $350,000 to be his own. The moment was surely emotional and I think that was the beginning of the end for Mr. Everett. That night, after we left his house to go out for some drinks, Chris asked me if he remembered the promise I made him five years earlier. Chris wanted to start his very own professional wrestling company, but of course, he'd have to start from the ground up.
That brings us to now. Sure, EBW is just a backyard promotion right now, but you wait. With my business background and the intelligence of my partner, you won't believe what you will see once we are done. It brings me great honor to announce that EBW has officially taken off and we are here to revolutionize professional wrestling and bring it back to the promise land!
Be sure to keep reading.

Very nice backstory, duan. You brought a nice amount of emotion out of it and set up a realistic approach to setting up a promotion, something some of us didn't have *coughmecough.* But seriously looking forward to this and seeing what you do with some of the unique characters you have in front of you. Good luck man, hope you stick to this.

Good backstory, you seem to put alot of effort into it not just Mr.X wants to create a promotion. I'm looking forward to what you do with this. I do think that the backyard name may hold you back if you want to expand later on. Good luck and please keep this up.

A STARTING POINT Just came back from my final business meeting with one of our competitors and things seem to be set for EBW. Chris has been going through stories in his head about the first show and I'd say he'll be pretty pleased about who I signed to the roster. So far, I have contacted seventeen competitors to come wrestle for us and the last one I got in touch with is the biggest. I just home from meeting independent superstar Devin Curtis about working a few shows for us. He was more than excited to help us out since bookings in New York (he just relocated here with his family) have been slim to none. I told him the pay wouldn't be too high, but he didn't seem to mind. One of the classiest acts and I am hopeful that this is a sign of things to come.
In other big news, we have booked our first show and it is set for August 5th at the Elks Lodge in Port Jefferson Station. Expect something about the card and ticket prices in a few days; otherwise, here is a list of other competitors that will definitely be in action that night.
- Daniel Sinn (National Wrestling League fame) - Jack Joseph (Independent Stud) - Jason Star (who has relocated to the States) - JT Jacklet (Up and coming superstar)
Be sure to stay tuned for more guys!

Card looks sexy, duan. Star/Gairhart should be an interesting match, would be good to see a push for Gairhart but I will be reading regardless. The main event also looks awesome.

I'm not a huge fan of promoting the guys who have made it elsewhere as your top guys. Hopefully you build your own guys up to create a main event division. Hoping theres more than three matches as well but I guess thier just the announced matches. I like the six man tag but I hope you don't have the two females fighting each other every show. Good luck and keep this up.

The first show looks pretty good so far, I like the look of the main event and I'm glad you didn't just have a women's match straight off and made it a mixed match.
