wow ed herman... impressive. Hell yeah, very impressive win for "Short Fuse". And did I hear Rogan say "I'm gonna go pee-pee"?? ;D Hilarious. Goldberg wanting food and a drink followed by a director telling them they had 10 minuets added to the fun. Something tells me Hardy will be back if only for England events. It will be hard for him to earn his way back to a credible level, let alone a contender again. GSP didn't sub him but he did something to his psyche and spirit.

4 straight losses(1 KO, 2 Dec., 1 sub) and Hardy isn't getting cut according to Lorenzo.... I don't care how over he is in England. I dont care how much Dana likes him. 4 straight losses usually equals walking papers for anybody else. Why is he so different? Plus, Lytle gave him the fight he wanted. A stand up war. Dan wasn't doing so hot there so he shot for a takedown and got choked out immediately. And none of his losses were even CLOSE, so that isn't an excuse.
Dan Hardy deserves to be cut. If guys are getting canned for losing once or twice in a row, there's NO EXCUSE for 4 straight and still giving him fights. If anything let him go get some wins on the smaller shows or Strikeforce then bring him back.

I never understood why people considered Hardy as a top welterweight contender in the first place. He never even beat anyone worth mentioning. Who did he beat that was notable? Mike Swick and Marcus Davis (both by decision I might add). And the only reason he got a title shot with GSP was because there was literally no one left in the division for GSP to fight. If Hardy gets another fight in the UFC than he must be really good at giving BJs because there could be no other explanation as to why Dana hasn't cut the strings with him yet.

It's good to see Lytle go out with a win - but at the same time, it was his last fight... Hardy needed the W much more. He (Hardy) just seems too one-dimensional though - where was the jab and the kicks? Not to mention that takedown (*facepalm*). I'll be amazed if the UFC do keep him on after 4 losses in a row - especially 4 pretty clear-cut losses too.
Ben Henderson was just amazing - it's a really tough call who gets the next title-shot after Edgar/Maynard 3...

There's also a returning Sean Sherk who also wants a shot at one of the top contenders.

should be henderson who gets the next shot. since guida more or less lay n prayed pettis, siver is... meh (the names are nice enough [wiman and soto], but both by decision), guillard needs one more big win, pettis and miller obviously coming off losses... henderson just dominated a guy who, had he won, wouldve been the clear cut number 1 contender. so yea, gotta say henderson.
i like the guida/sherk matchup mentioned. and then, assuming they get through their next opponents, id still like to see guillard/pettis.

“Will not cut Dan Hardy. I like guys that war!” UFC Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta wrote Sunday on his personal Twitter account shortly after the Englishman was submitted by Chris Lytle at Milwaukee’s Bradley Center.

I think Guillard/Lauzon and Pettis/Stephens are great match-ups and it's very possible some more curveballs will be thrown after these fights.

Pretty rough night for Ben Henderson. Directly after the fight he was arrested on the way back to his locker room and charged with aggravated battery and rape.

I'll be seeing this shortly, but great to know Lytle finished his career with a win, one of my favourite WWs for a while now...not a fan of Hardy, but don't know where else he could go...don't really care for that matter...

Directly after the fight he was arrested on the way back to his locker room and charged with aggravated battery and rape. hahaha Henderson/Guida makes the most sense imo. They are stylistically the best fight for each other. Oliveira is one of my favorite fighters, and it was hard watching him lose again. Things don't seem to be going well for him, and I think if he loses again, he's gonna get cut. It was great to see such an awesome retirement fight from Lytle. He summed up his UFC career with that one fight. He showed everyone why he puts everything out there: because it pays off. As for Hardy, I think his next fight should be against Thiago Alves. Both guys need a win to stay relevant in the division.

Now then, after saying that, who in the world do you put Hardy in there with next and where should he be on the card?? You put Hardy on a British card against a newly signed fighter in the Prelims. At best Hardy gets the crowd charged for the main card, at worst the UFC uses him to start the hype train on another semi-talented Brit. When was he ever at a credible level? I never understood why people considered Hardy as a top welterweight contender in the first place. He never even beat anyone worth mentioning. Who did he beat that was notable? Mike Swick and Marcus Davis (both by decision I might add). And the only reason he got a title shot with GSP was because there was literally no one left in the division for GSP to fight. I also never understood the hype to Hardy and I agree his title shot was a hold over until they could get Shields. However it seems the UFC brass thought he was the real deal and will continue to back him despite the fact that his last 3 fights have resulted in him being defeated in every conceivable way, a KO, a Decision loss and a submission. At this point there is no area you can say he is dominate in anymore.
