Chris Lytle has announced that his fight with Hardy will be his last. "I've been fighting since '98, fighting forever, a lot of it is just that I'm not doing my responsibilities like I need to at home. I feel like I'm not being the type of dad I want to. I got four kids and lots of times I feel just an immense sense of guilt for not being there in times when I should. ... This is going to be my last memory right here. I feel like I want to win this fight more than probably I have wanted to win any. I want the people to want more, like, 'Why is he gone? I want him to come back.' That would be my dream for it to end like that."

For any UKers lurking, a last minute deal was worked out for this to be shown free on Premier Sports (Sky channel 433)... Apparently, ESPN-UK now only has the rights to show the main (PPV) shows - no Spike TV or Versus stuff.

This is a winnable fight for Hardy so i won't be surprised if he does get a win here, i respect Lytle but he isn't a top of the division fighter i just hope Lytle makes this fight entertaining by standing with Hardy for a at least some of the fight. If he does that Hardy could win a UD but i can't see Hardy finishing Lytle. I wouldn't blame Lytle for taking Hardy down though because that is Dan's weakness, i think Lytle will win this by Submission if he gets Hardy down and keeps him there.

For me Lytle is the hometown guy. I've met him and interviewed him and the guy was always a class act and of course one hell of a fighter. I'll be rooting for him to go out with a win tonight, because the guy deserves to go out a winner.

I really hope Lytle wins here. He's the kind of fighter that always tries his best, and stands with the best guys, too. He deserves to go out with a win.

6 d'arce attempts in one fight... nice. i had it 3-0 volkmann, but castillo staying alive through all those attempts was impressive as well.

Missed the first prelim. figueroa by tko 50 seconds into the 2nd round. reinhardt just kept backing up all fight, he had nothing, figueroa squashed every takedown attempt as well.

Too bad Volkmann is such a damn novice on the ground. He could finish guys with more jiu-jitsu training.

He did tap in the darce. Doesn't matter anyway, Hettes got the RNC.
As if it wasn't proven in his choke loss to Mackens Semerzier, it's proven now: Bruce Leeroy doesn't belong in the UFC.

Ronny Markes vs. Karlos Vemola, two big-ass light heavyweights.
