WWF Monday Night RAW: Monday 15th May 1995...Nice way to kick off the show with Shawn Michaels in the ring, did like his complaining about not winning the WWF Championship from Diesel at In Your House last night. Sid still injuring Shawn Michaels was a nice touch, too, his path of doom begins. Hopefully the path of doom doesn't result in too many dire matches between Diesel and Sid. Hunter Hearst Helmsley beating Duane Gill got Hunter over well. Bam Bam Bigelow beating Man Mountain Rock was the right decision, he could easily win this tournament at the King of the Ring. Jeff Jarrett interrupting Jack Tunney in his work was a nice touch, looking forward to see how Jarrett regains his WWF Intercontinental Championship from the 1-2-3 Kid. The Undertaker beating Henry O. Godwinn was easy, didn't do a lot but still did well. Jerry Lawler's King's Court was nice, lovely to see Hakushi on the show too. The debut of Chris Sullivan, good job! Expecting something more though, like maybe Bret Hart appearing or something. Next week's RAW sounds good fun. Lex Luger was obviously beating the Roadie, good win for Luger, and a decent RAW, but it lacked many highlighted stars, which is bad following a pay-per-view.
The Ring Report: Tuesday 16th May 1995...Shawn Michaels being out on the bench sucks, but it allows him time to sell the attack from Sid. I could see them feud into SummerSlam if done correctly. Kama injured as well is a shame, now what does the Undertaker do? Good decision to have WWF Action Zone turned into a recap show.
WWF Superstars: Saturday 20th May 1995...Man Mountain Rock and Rad Radford lose again? I guess the Heavenly Bodies are the better team here anyway, wonder what Mr Backlund's beef with Rock and Radford is. Aldo Montoya is the ideal man to lose to Sid, he could bump like a really weak God. Hunter Hearst Helmsley promoting his upcoming match against Sionne is interesting, can't see it being that great a match though. And lastly, great idea for Duke Droese to beat Henry O. Godwinn, Henry's on a losing streak though. The slopcan spot was nice. Overall, nothing too bad, a nice week for WWF television, just feel like you could have had a lot of star power which wasn't featured on RAW on Superstars. Bret, Diesel, Razor Ramon, 1-2-3 Kid, Owen Hart, Yokozuna, everybody. I know they divided their talent over different weeks due to RAW tapings, but you should mix it up a bit.

WWF Monday Night RAW May 22nd, 1995
Monday Night RAW opens with Jim Cornette, Yokozuna, Owen Hart, Mr. Fiji. Cornette rants about the match tonight; how the best tag team in the WWF will beat The Smokin’ Gunns for once and for all. Cornette was pretty much putting Yoko & Owen over with a hint of annoyance.
We cut to the ring where Ted DiBiase along with I.R.S, Tatanka & Bam Bam Bigelow, DiBiase is smiling like he’s up to no good. DiBiase tells that there is a new member of the Million Dollar Corporation, and that man is none other than....SID! Sid comes out to chorus of boos. Sid who put Shawn Michaels on the shelf with three powerbombs last week on RAW. Sid tells Diesel that he’s coming for the WWF Championship and he challenges Diesel at King of the Ring.
In a KOTR Qualifying match, Adam Bomb pinned Doink after Adam Bomb used the Atom Smasher.
In a split-screen while Adam Bomb celebrates his victory, Dok Hendrix gives us an update on "The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels who suffered a serious injury last week on RAW. Dok then showed the clip of HBK getting three powerbombs by his former bodyguard, Sid.
Jerry “The King” Lawler comes out with his nephew, so he says. Chris “Skip” Sullivan who is working out on the way to the ring took on the young Scott Taylor. Sullivan made a impression on Lawler, defeating Taylor with the Diving Leg Drop. Lawler then called Hart a loser and that he can’t wait to run Hart out of the WWF forever.
Hunter Hearst Helmsey who was accompanied by a lovely blond valet took on one of the Headshrinkers, Sionne. This was a back and forth battle between the two superstars, however in the end... Hunter got some unexpected help from none other than Headshrinker Fatu! Hunter did the Pedigree for the victory. Fatu circled Sionne, and knocked him out with a savate kick. Hunter Hearst Helmsley lures Fatu along. Why is Hunter Hearst Helmsey taking him away?
“Double J” Jeff Jarrett who is with a lawyer and The Roadie, discussing about the Intercontinental Championship incident. The lawyer who was pretty confident and cocky that he would bring back the Championship where it belongs, around Jarrett’s waist.
And the main event was finally here, the WWF Tag Team Championship was on the line as Owen & Yoko took on The Smoking Gunns. This was a great tag team match. Lot of action. In the end, Owen tagged Yokozuna in, as Owen used the Enzuigiri to knock out Bart Gunn. Yokozuna took advantage of this, using the Banzai Drop! Owen knocked Billy down as Yoko pinned Bart for the victory.
Owen & Yoko celebrates with Jim Cornette and Mr. Fuji afterwards. Billy didn’t look happy and tried to help Bart up.
No Superstars this week as it was pre-empted by Saturday Morning Cartoons.

The Ring Report May 28th, 1995
Superstars was actually canceled by USA Network. This was the reason why it didn’t air yesterday morning. However, it did aired in Canada under “Maple Leaf Wrestling” - which was just a recap of what happened this past Monday Night RAW. The World Wrestling Federation has already found a new home for Superstars, looking to branch out in local areas which should start airing next Saturday.. USA Network is looking to revamp its schedule on the weekends targeting the young viewers with more cartoons and kid friendly movies. That isn’t all though, USA Network has already talked to World Wrestling Federation about a new show that would air on Thursdays. From what we heard, WWF isn’t interested at the time.
WWF is going all out on its Memorial Day edition of RAW tomorrow night with Lex Luger taking on Yokozuna. We should be seeing a lot of big stars as well. If you remember a while ago, WWF and USA Network were in talks about revamping RAW’s formula. This should be a taste of what to come in the future.
It’s been a busy week for us here at The Ring Report, calling sources from everywhere but we are hearing that World Championship Wrestling has been ‘spring cleaning’ so to say. One major name that was let go recently was “Stunning” Steve Austin who was apparently let go via a phone call. That’s pretty bad.
WWF Monday Night RAW May 29th, 1995 - Memorial Day
Monday Night RAW opens with Sid challenging Diesel last week on RAW. Will Big Daddy Cool accepts the challenge? Suddenly, you heard the sound of Diesel. It’s the World Wrestling Federation Champion, Diesel walking out on this Memorial Day edition of RAW! Diesel is interviewed by Vince McMahon in the ring. Vince asked Diesel what’s the answer that everybody’s waiting to hear? Diesel calmly said that he would accept the challenge and beat Sid at KOTR. Diesel went on and said that he isn’t afraid of the Million Dollar Corporation and can’t wait to send Tatanka home after tonight!
On this Memorial Day edition of RAW, the match is happening between Lex Luger and Yokozuna! The fans were pumped up for this one. It was almost like Wrestlemania X, but this time the outcome was different. Lex Luger won the match by knocking Yokozuna out of the ring with the Forearm smash! Yokozuna was counted out as Luger was given the victory. Mr. Fuji tries to hit Luger with the flag, but Luger also knocked him out as well. Luger then paraded around the ring with the American flag. The crowd ate it up.
In this KOTR Qualifying match, “The Bad Guy” Razor Ramon nailed the Razor’s Edge on Jimmy Del Ray, who never had a chance in this match. Razor Ramon advances to the next round.
As “Double J” Jeff Jarrett, The Roadie, and The Lawyer is in the ring. Jeff Jarrett then calls out Jack Tunney and The 1-2-3 Kid. Mr .Tunney came out with The 1-2-3 Kid. The lawyer then proceeded to introduce himself, Clarence Mason. As Clarence was throwing these big words that a lot of fans didn’t understand. Understandably, he is a lawyer. But however, Clarence went on and said that Jack Tunney didn’t look in the contract that was signed by both wrestlers, Jeff Jarrett and Razor Ramon - in case of either wrestler getting injured and can’t make it, the contract is void.
So that means The 1-2-3 Kid never won Jeff Jarrett’s Intercontinental Championship, and the match was never sanctioned. And Mr. Mason went on the record stating that if Jack Tunney continues to stand by his decision that the Kid is the Intercontinental Champion...There will be a lawsuit. Tunney looked nervous as the term lawsuit was brought up. Jack Tunney then turns to The Kid, a brief exchange of words and The Kid looked disappointed. Jack Tunney then proceeded to give the Intercontinental Championship back to “Double J” Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett grabs it and celebrated as if he just hit a home run in the World Series.
Chris “Skip” Sullivan came out, once again working out on the way to the ring. Chris kept saying that he’s a Bodydonna and calling fans lazy and fat. He defeated Duane Gill with the Diving Leg Drop. After the match, Bret “The Hitman” Hart showed up at ringside. Skip was taunting him to come into the ring. Bret went into the ring and started brawling with the young man. Bret finally locked Skip in the Sharpshooter as Lawler and Hakushi came out to the ring. Hart rolled out of the ring before they got him. Hart was yelling at Lawler that this is far from being over.
In this match-up, I.R.S was accompanied by Ted DiBiase to take on The Phenom, The Undertaker. This was a decent match between the two veterans. Ted DiBiase was still reeling from the In Your House loss, as Ted went after Bearer to get the urn once again. Undertaker stopped DiBisase and knocked him down. Undertaker then ended the match with a tombstone on I.R.S for the victory.
The 1-2-3 Kid was backstage, looking disappointed as Razor Ramon came up to him and that he’ll get Jarrett for him. The Kid doesn’t look happy at all. The Kid rants that he won that belt fair and square and that this isn’t over! The Kid storms off leaving Razor Ramon behind.
As Tatanka heads to the ring where he is facing “Big Daddy Cool” Diesel in a non-title match. Diesel and Tatanka went back and forth, trading punches. Ted DiBiase who was still hurting from the previous match, came out to show some support. However, this was short-lived as “King Kong” Bundy came out and surprised everybody, he took DiBiase by the neck! With Tatanka being distracted by Bundy, Diesel took the advantage and delivered the Jackknife Powerbomb for the victory! Bundy knocks DiBiase down!
WWF Superstars June 3rd, 1995
King Kong Bundy made his return to Superstars, squashing the returning Repoman and demanded a Five Count instead. He got that request.
And we’re in a very classy dining room where we see Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Fatu sitting down at the table. Helmsley was trying to teach Fatu on how to use a fork while eating. Fatu took one look at the fork and instead he used his hands to eat dinner while Helmlsey shook his head.
The Rocker, Marty Jannetty is out in the ring pumping up the crowd for the upcoming match. But it didn’t last long as some greasy hair dirty clothed guy came out and brutally attacked Jannetty. This unknown just destroyed Jannetty! And the guy left through the crowd. Who was this guy?
Bret “The Hitman” Hart was backstage with Dok as Hart cuts a promo on Jerry “The King” Lawler and his little merry gang. Hart warned Lawler that The Hitman is coming for them, one by one. Hart didn’t look too happy.
Yet another promo by Bob Backlund who was ripping today’s scene of music, calling it garbage and useless. He then compared garbage and useless to Man Mountain Rock and Rad Radford. He ripped them apart.
Henry O. Godwinn defeated Scott Taylor with the Slop Drop. Godwinn proceeded to ‘slopped’ Taylor.

Nice to see you going with Sid and Diesel should be a fun match and rivalry heading into King of the Ring and having Sid in MDC is great. Really big match to open up Raw with Luger vs Yokozuna, glad to see Luger get the win and hopefully you keep him around with a good push. Nice to see Ramon win as well, looking forward to seeing who you have come out as King of the Ring. Lovely segment between Jarrett/Mason/Tunney & Kid. Loved Jarrett's celebration and looking forward to seeing Kid attempt to get revenge. Nice to see Skip with a win and continuation of the Hart/Skip/Lawler feud. Another huge match with IRS vs Undertaker, Taker picking up the victory was obvious. Interesting Kid/Ramon segment. Another huge match with Diesel taking on Tatanka, liked Bundy coming out and attacking Dibiase and liked Diesel picking up the win. On Superstars I liked Bundy demanding a 5 count, Helmsley and Fatu's dinner session and interested in finding out who the mystery man who attacked Jannetty was.
All in all, it was probably far too much for a Raw in this time period even for a special edition but I really like where you are going with for KOTR and you're building some good stuff here, keep it up.
