What would have made it good? They're from completely different countries and Carlito was incredibly lazy in the ring. Not only that but there's nothing about their characters which lend themselves to any decent promos in the build up for a match.
I don't get it to be honest.

No, I don't think Carlito is Mexican. I think they would have been good doing a promo together.

I think Carlito was awesome and I think Del Rio is equally awesome so why the hell not. They both have good promo skills and I'm sure the matches would have been decent. Living in South Florida I know that the different Hispanic groups don't really get along all the time, that is more so Puerto Rican's and Cubans, but I'm sure they could do a take on that where it would be like a Peurto Rico vs Mexico thing. I don't, maybe it's a stretch but it seems like it would have been a good feud with two entertaining talents.
