Backstory
Vince McMahon bought ECW in 2003 which was two years after ECW went bankrupt. Everything had became horrible in terms of trying to keep this alive with WWE's version of ECW.
A big company that refused to be named appears to be backing ECW. The thing is that there is a new President in charge of ECW will be none other than Paul Heyman. As amazing as it is Paul ended up getting a company to back his financial decisions and help pay the bills that ECW gained.
It was reported that the unknown company bought ECW from the WWE for $8.3 Million according to World Wrestling Entertainment releasing the information in the corporate portion of their website. The information that was released had been commented on by Vince McMahon and he said "I wish ECW all of the success they can possibly have. Paul's baby has been recreated after all of these years. Hopefully they have some success as the extreme company they are."
Paul Heyman spoke about the revival of ECW that is in his hands now and said the following "I really think I will have much more success with a very strong financial company backing ECW. This will be very successful compared to the financial standards I had to run with last time. Hopefully we can get ECW on a television network very soon! This will be a success once we get it going."
ECW will have short results for now with shows in the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to get going before they begin to travel. As Paul said "ECW will hopefully get on television soon!"
