Dumb question and dumb title but I know it still make sense! I really want a Kurt Angle and Rob Van Dam figure. I have about 5 different Jakk pacific Kurt Angle figures (he my favorite wrestler of all time) but jakk figure isn't to scale so a basic Jakk Angle is taller than a Mattel Undertaker figure I also want old WWF/WWE (before the PG era) action figure with the likes of Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Diesel, X-PAC, Road Dogg, APA, DDP, A-Train, Rikishi, Ultimo Dragon, The Hurricane, Jamie Noble, Chris Benoit (RIP), Eddie Guerrero (RIP), Booker T, Test, Rhyno, Raven, Boss Man, Al Snow, Funaki, Gregory Helms, Val Venis, and Chyna. I know the Hurricane is Gregory Helm but I want both gimmick. Along with all the TNA action figure, Jakks figures are usually hit or miss.

Sooooooo, whats the question? OMG I didn't even ask my question. Will Mattel ever made a TNA and the old WWF/WWE line of action figures?

We don't know the full details of TNA's licensing contracts with their wrestlers. We know some, Kevin Nash being a good example, are non-exclusive. This does not mean all are. Indeed, one would generally expect their contract with talent to include an exclusive license for their likeness. Nash may have negotiated non-exclusivity knowing that acting opportunities might require him to sign off on likeness licensing for other projects. He then just exploited this loophole to signing a licensing deal with Jakks. I think its fair to say many of their wrestlers would not have the leverage or need to make such a demand. Perhaps only Hogan and Foley would have requested that. As such, I would have to regard the prospects of Mattel producing figures of current TNA talent to be unlikely. Especially with the discretionary control WWE can excercise in what figures are produced.
I'd love to see many of the classic wrestlers you cite, but that's all up to Mattel and WWE. Thus far, they haven't shown much desire to dig into that era for Legends figures. Unless a personality is currently under contract to license their likeness to another toymaker, any of them should be fair game, but that doesn't mean Mattel will be interested.

I know they're nowhere near as good looking as Mattel's, but you could always pick up some Toybiz TNA figures for a closer scale. Mattel's never going to make them, so I suppose that would be your best option (I've been considering buying some myself, for the same reason).

WWF = WWE. It's the same. All those pople could be made in Legends, Flashbacks, Defining Moments series.
If someone is in Impact Wresting they'd have to leave for WWE to consider them as subjects for merchandise typically.

Kurt Angle has stated before that he would love too finish out the remainder of his career in the wwe. He loved it there but they let him go because of his neck injuries saying he would get hurt worse if he continued to wrestle. Kurt loves wrestling though so he went to TNA and must have had a crooked doc sign him in but he is still going today. I Am from Kurts Home town of Pittsburgh, Pa and i grew up an hour from Clarion, Pa where he wrestled for College. I see alot of Kurt Angle matches in TNA live and back when he was in WWE Too but yeah i remember reading this and hearing an interview he stated this in. So there could be a great chance that Kurt someday may come back too WWE or who knows when he is done in TNA and too old maybe WWE will bring him back too HALL OF FAME him someday and make figs that way. Anyways, If this were too never happen, or you just didnt want too wait, you could take a good Jakks Kurt Angle head and put it on a Mattel Elite Swagger body or something and just make your own Kurt.

Well if Samoa Joe ends up in WWE next year i'd assume a Mattel would likely follow. Or if Kurt Angle retires and signs a legends deal. Otherwise no.

The only Kurt Angle I see and like is the one from TNA but I have only seen it at RSC and the shipping price there is just ridiculous. Also I am seriously hoping for Goldberg to return to WWE just so I can get his action figure. I will easily pay $30 for my first ever Goldberg wrestling figure! He said he might return to wrestling before the end of this year, hopefully to WWE so I can get his figure, and then leave for TNA.

Well Goldberg might be coming back to the WWE or TNA this year. Man it going to suck if I never get Rhyno and Brock Lesnar, my WWE collection won't be complete without them.

Actually he's never said anything like that and has stated several times that he will spend the rest of his career in TNA because he loves it there. I have heard both of these things slip out of Angles pie-hole actually... In a radio interview a while back when things w/ Karen started to slip he was very much considering a WWE return and said he has no hard feelings and loved being there... I cant remember the name of the radio show tho... will try to look for it... the TNA thing is more recent and when he first made his jump to TNA Anyhoot... Benoit will never get a fig which sucks cuz even tho he did an awful thing he was still amazing in the ring and with the way lately Lesner has been gettin name dropped and thrown into WWE DVDs (21st centurys greatest DVD) he may sign over for a legends line... Goldberg will most likely return but to whom (WWE or TNA) will determine fig status Would love a Rikishi fig and with his boys in the WWE maybe they could talk daddy dearest into it lol And I know they say never say never but with the current "movie" roles Chyna is getting don't expect a fig of her lol

Doesn't Mattel have the WWE license until 2015?
I'm sure Kurt Angle, RVD, Hulk Hogan, Sting and all the other old guys in TNA will either be retired and done with TNA by 2015, or TNA will be out of business all together. And even after that Mattel and WWE will probably renew the deal for even longer.
I'm sure eventually we will get all the figures of all the guys we want.....except Owen Hart and Chris Benoit.
