I SO wish this was a 3 disc set. Outstanding nonetheless. Yeah it was a bummer when I first read that. They are so nervous about exposing the greatness of NXT outside of the Network. If they had done a full 3-disc set showcasing the TakeOvers, they might as well have released them all in their entirety. In a perfect world they would have done that plus a set dedicated to the regular show.

I mean how many times do we need to see the same stuff time and time again. And that WWE 24 set too with a 'behind the scenes' look at RAW 25 again, the Hardyz again, women's evolution again and WM34 you guessed it AGAIN. I'm a big fan of the Hardyz and the Women's division but what we really need is variety rather than being drowned in nostalgia.

So many past episodes I thought finally were to be available on DVD only to find out just this year's shows made the cut, with topics of 3 already having dedicated sets available (the women, Hardys, and Raw 25). They're basically asking us to pay $15 for bonus features and ULTIMATE DELETION, since every other "extra" match is readily available elsewhere.

I'm surprised Roman's announcement is not in this collection. That was 1 of the most surprising/shocking moments in all of WWE programming over the past year. It was for me anyway.

I thought that too initially, when Edge's and Bryan's announcements of them stepping away have been featured on previous sets. But after thinking about it, their situations differed because their reasons weren't for a serious, life-threatening illness. They may not have wanted to take the chance something takes a bad turn, God forbid.

rkmo: 10 Month Notice I know you follow the recent releases too. I was just checking out the latest WWE DVD preorders on Amazon and I see Survivor Series 2018 DVD and blu-ray are incredibly short in duration. Any idea why? I've not seen the whole show yet but TLC lasts like an hour longer and it's not 1 of the big 4. To me that's shockingly bad. I'd rather have a bunch of crappy extras and at least I'd feel like I got my money's worth. Ah well, I bought Evolution PPV and pre-ordered Best Of NXT TakeOver 2018.

According to WDN the UK got stuck with a one-disc release for both DVD and Blu-Ray. I guess they thought since the "official" event could fit on a single disc they would leave off all the extras, including the tag team elimination kickoff match. Don't know why the Blu-Ray would be without extras as well. I bought a copy of the US version DVD a few weeks back, it is the standard two-disc with listed extras. A little over 4 hours total. Here are a couple links to WDN articles with little bits I could find about it: www.wrestlingdvdnetwork.com/wwe-producing-best-of-nxt-takeover-2018-dvd/162603/www.wrestlingdvdnetwork.com/new-cover-artwork-extras-for-wwe-survivor-series-2018-dvd/162949/

As you said the whole event would fit on 1 disc anyway. Seems bad though considering Evolution lasts roughly the same amount of time and it never got a blu-ray release. Can't wait till March 25th for NXT though.

I’m disappointed that we don’t get DVD’s about past wrestlers/superstars/factions as much as we used to. We normally got a nice 6-7 3 disc collections a year. There’s plenty of material not on the network to put on these DVDs.

There’s plenty of material not on the network to put on these DVDs. It's a major bummer we haven't even gotten a list of working titles for 2019 besides the annual sets. We had the '18 release list by October of the previous year.

While I was perusing the Walmart app I found listings for some new stuff. Available for preorder are exclusives of past sets bundled with a Funko POP keychain. Release date is set for February 3. I saw 6 titles:
Undertaker's Deadliest Matches John Cena's Greatest Rivalries Sting: Into the Light Ultimate Warrior: Always Believe 30 Years of Survivor Series Randy Savage Unreleased
Preorder price is $12.54 for all except The SS Anniversary set, which is currently out.

One of the few things WWE could get right was putting their old content out there. Now they are stingy with that on both DVD's AND the Network.

I was watching an original copy of Wrestlemania 16 on DVD that I recently acquired. Right before the Angle-Jericho-Benoit match, it seemed to skip in the middle of a backstage Angle segment and went to the entrances. When I tried to back up some chapters it looked to jump to the Extras section, then went into Spanish commentary when I got it back to the Triple Threat. Disc looks clean.
Does anyone else's do that? Is this a widespread glitch or is my copy just defective?
