Well according to the wrestling dvd network, the only dvds that will be released in 2020 and beyond are ppvs. No more classic dvds. I guess rare matches will be shown only in the hidden gems section on the network. It was all good while it lasted!

Remember when the product was complete crap but at least the DVD releases were amazing? It was like they could do no wrong with their vault and their library. Now it seems like EVERYTHING the WWE touches in EVERY aspect not called NXT turns to chit. This being just another case of that.

Getting the Piper Unreleased DVD for Christmas. My first WWE DVD of 2019 and very possibly my last ever. Its been a fun ride, guys! It's sad, I literally used to wait for Walmart to open before my shifts across the way back when I was a manager at a restaraunt in the mid '00s to grab those DVDs. Remember when the Walmart Hogans from Jakks came out in '06 with the Hogan DVD? I was there morning for and MIRACULOUSLY they were both loads of them sitting behind the counter (the figure) and I remember the girl saying "I figured we would be selling a lot of these" or something like that, it was 13 years ago (this was when Jakks Classic Superstars were flying out the door...and were actually well stocked...) Then I would literally open those boxes from Amazon a few years later with ABSOLUTE joy after waiting for those DVDs to show up. Even when the network started. I still loved those things. I'd buy them in BOTH dvd and Blu-ray when they started coming in Blu-ray format. And if someone can clear this up. The old, long abandoned "WWE Oldschool" Network series of full house shows...wasn't there going to be an actual Anthology set of different house shows throughout the years from Madison Square Garden. Like they did with the Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, Summerslam, and partially the Survivor Series Anthology of '87-'96? I remember there was a rumor that they were going to do one but it was abandoned.

Does anyone recall when WWE started releasing kickoff show matches with the PPVs? Considering actions to rectify the times when they've cheated us out of them (which is happening more and more now), and it would be helpful to know how far I need to go back.
I think when they started the 4-hr dual-branded shows, 2018 Backlash?

Another question: I'm gearing up for my annual WM binge, every HOF and Mania, including any Kickoff/pre-show matches. Pretty much every set since 2005 has had those matches as bonuses, and X7 and 19 featured matches from the Heat show prior to Mania. Wondering if there were matches that took place just before the big show from any other years, and if they were released or otherwise available online?

Every HOF? Damn. I can’t even watch an entire night as it happens. Not sure I ever watched one in its entirety aside from the one I went to.

Guess there will be no mania this year on blu ray my collection of manias on blu ray since 24 will have a gap now. How sad. Who said it wasn’t coming out on Blu-Ray? They could add the go home Raw, the go home Smackdown, and the Raw after Wrestlemania, as digital download extras, in place of the HOF ceremony, which, for the last couple years, has been a digital only extra, anyway. Then, they could do a compilation/best of, of segments, and matches from the last couple months of Raw, Smackdown, and NXT, as extras on the Blu-Ray itself. They could still turn a Blu-Ray release into something special, even given the circumstances. If they’re willing to put in the effort into making said release something special, is the question.

The lack of Smackdown segments is very disappointing. There’s one, that being the Cena interview with Wyatt popping up at the end. Also, no NXT “Takeover” matches, and segments from the last few episodes of NXT on USA (even as a digital download bonus) is extremely disappointing. Other than that, the listing is solid, and exactly what I’d expect from a Wrestlemania release, all thing’s considered with what they had to work with, and weren’t able to do (HOF).

Just bought the re released version of Wrestlemania 17 for £9.98. I just wanted it for the artwork for my nostalgia shelf. To be honest, I'll never have any need to open it since it's on the network. I legit just bought it for the DVD cover.

Oh I didn’t know that, I seen they announced 4 and just assumed it would be the 4 WWF ones. No idea why ‘Mania 19 would be re released. There’s no logo difference.

The logic I read on WDN is that there may have been concern how well 16 would sell, seeing as it's not really considered a classic Mania. Their thought was the Hogan-Rock and Rock-Austin matches would move more copies.

Hello,
Does anybody have Macho Madness-The Ultimate Randy Savage Collection 3 disk set? If so, is the old WWF logo is blurred out on matches and interviews? Asked people on ebay who are selling it and i get the same "I don't know" answer. Can anyone here help please?
Cheers.

I haven't watched the entire set start to finish instead I've just jumped around to different matches on it, but I don't recall the old school WWF logo ever being blurred out on a DVD. The only instance of blurring I've come across is the Attitude Era scratch WWF logo on DVDs prior to 2013.

Ahh ok cool. I didn't realise it was just the Attitude Era logo that is blurred before 2013. Thanks for that.
