Wait wait wait....wasn't he on tough enough bragging about being straight edge when everyone was partying up?!  in hypocrite. Did he actually say he was sXe or just that he didn't drink/do drugs because he was a dad? I may have missed it but I thought the TE producers were just calling him sXe because they needed a label. |

Ref's pump that thing too!? That's silly, I think this is gonna be the downfall of his career. I think it tests for plenty of things, other than steroids is that's what you are referring to? Like pills, medicines, marijuana and other drugs |

Andy really pisses me off. He kept throwing the term "straightedge" around while grumping in the corner and not having a good time, then went on to consume alcohol on Tough Enough and Raw, and now this? He makes those of us who actually ARE straightedge (I had the S.E.H.C since 6-10-90 sign @ MITB and SS, and have NEVER tried drugs/alcohol/smoking/etc) look like idiots and hypocrites. Whoever picked him over Luke had their head up their rear end.  |

It's not about just not drinking/smoking/taking drugs because of less-than-ideal circumstances. |

Why can't people just say that they DON'T do drugs? Is that not cool enough? Does it have to have a name now? I don't touch any of that stuff and I definitely don't call myself "straight edge".
But to stay on topic, why on earth they picked Andy to win this thing, I'll never know.

Do a web search on sXe some time. It is more than just staying clean. It was a social movement which started in the punk/metal music scene in the '80s. It's about opposing (hopefully in a positive way) the culture of irresponsibility and death in the youth culture. And for all of you Luke fans, I doubt he would have fared much better. If he's even close to the party boy persona portrayed on TE, he was a Wellness Suspension/ DUI/bar fight waiting to happen. It's time for WWE to give up on TE. It doesn't yield very much in the long run. |
