Didn't CMD have a thread where he was looking for a replacement? Or did nothing come of that? We don't need anything drastic. Just an extra set of eyes to lock up/move unneeded threads.

yeah I agree, what I think we need is some more showcase competitions.
It may start off with not many turn in's at first but the more it would happen more people on here would become inspired from seeing the constant top quality work.
So the more great work is posted more people will take on this hobby of customizing.
I also think we need a proper tutorial thread or even sub board to answer all these questions.

That is what Customs Support is for. I even offered and got voted on to take offer the customs support board and nothing ever came of it.

If by "showcase competition", NickJ means more Customania tournaments, then I would totally be in. I entered the one that was held earlier this year (back in April?), and really enjoyed it. Too bad the turnout for it was crappy. The biggest problem was finding stipulations that everyone would agree on, but I'd enjoy another go at it, personally.

A showcase event would really be more of people just turning in work with their best efforts given. A competition would pit two competitors against one another.
Since stipulations always seem to hold every one back, maybe we can whip together a competition with no stips.
If enough people are interested, I can get something going.

If it matters, I'd be up for some type of showcase/competition as well. But technically, shouldn't anyone posting customs be giving it their best effort anyway?  Anyway, I'd be interested in participating if it gets that far. |

Does anyone know if Mattel DC Universe heads would fit on a Mattel Basic body? I want to make a custom Luchador, and it might be best if I swapped a DCU head onto my Mattel body.
Anyone done this before or know 100% that they're interchangeable?

If I put together another competition, I need some good volunteers to judge. The last few competitions have had more judging issues than anything else. Sure, lack of overall participation in the last one was pretty bad, but the judging has been a problem for years.
If we can get 8 solid matches, I don't care what divisions, then we can get this rolling. As well, one match(Axe's idea), would pit some HWT's against one another using a create a wrestler stip. Not only would you create a wrestler, but give a background/bio feed along with it. The remainder of the matches would be no stip, anything goes(except doing a tag team).
If we have more than 8 matches, that's more than fine. PM me if interested and if you'd like to be HWT, IC, or Cruiser.
As of right now, let's say the saturday after Thanksgiving as the event date.
