It does suck to buy a figure and have loose joints but it happens. It's a toy and not every one is going to be perfect every time. I started buying Mego's in the early 70's, Star Wars, GI Joe and countless others and many of them had either a loose joint, messed up paint, etc. It's happened since the first figures were made, it happens now and it will happen in the future. It's not worth getting worked up about.

I do hate loose joints, but it's the nature of the beast.

For loose ankle joints, just put a dab of crazy glue and rotate it back and forth while it is drying. It should add some resistance to the ankle.As far as any other body part, look for the same figure in stores and try to get an even exchange after you buy it. Seriously , super glue is like $2 .... and one bottle will fix all your loose joints

thankfully I never had any problems with any of mattel's joints. Just some stiffness.
