21 Stores, Epic pickups

So one of my good friends and I both had today off with nothing to do and decided to try and see what we could find if we went on a figure hunting trip around northern Illinois/Chicago. The stores in our city have been awful lately and we were sick of seeing the same shelf warmers, plus hearing that E9 and E10 were being found we thought we'd see what we could find. We went to 21 stores (tru, kmart, walmart, and target) and ended up finding almost everything we wanted from series 1 up to now. We drove about 200 miles total today but it was worth it in the long run, I found 8 of the 10 figures I want that have been released in stores, everything but Ziggler and a Ryder for myself, we only found 1.

Ill start with some of the newer ones. My friend picked up E9 Ryder, Bam Bam, Macho Man, Cm Punk, and E10 Kane. We found all of E9 and E10 today, they must have just hit. E9 was at Kmart and Toys R Us, E10 was at Walmart

E10 Ted Dibiase


This is actually the figure I wanted to find the most today, I thought it looked really good online and found it at Walmart in Chicago, the belt is pretty good but it doesn't fit around his waist, and the briefcase is a cool accessory too. Its a pretty plain figure but the purple tights looks WAY better than the black ones.

E10 Yoshi Tatsu



This figure looked nothing short of amazing online and was an instant buy once I saw it on the shelf, no doubts about it. It doesn't come with anything but the figure is so good it doesn't matter. I don't know if its going to be hard to find in the long run but I'm glad I got it.

E3 Santino


My jaw dropped when I saw 2 of these sitting on the pegs at Toys R Us in one of the nicer suburbs. I've been looking for one of these at a decent price for awhile now since I started my Mattel collection in April, nothing is missing from this, and theres nothing I could complain about, its one of my favorite figures I own now.

E2 Cody Rhodes


I came across a few of these today, it was also high up on my list of wants, I was going to wait till his next elite since theres not any near my house. I got one off ebay a few months ago but it was trashed so I sold it with some other figures I didn't care for, and I'm stoked I found another. Its really under rated, especially after I take legacy off the trunks, all I'll need is that mask.

WrestleMania HHH


Nothing too special, I wanted an Elite HHH since he used to be my favorite wrestler a awhile back. We found a TRU that was moving so ALL their figures were on clearance, and they had a decent selection. The shirt was lame, but the figure itself is really good.

Legends Dusty Rhodes


Another figure I wanted but wasn't in a rush to get, it was also on clearance at that same TRU, so $10 for it wasn't bad at all, especially right after I picked up Cody earlier in the day.

Legends Warrior


I was a Warrior fan, but I fully got this figure for the belt. The old IC title is my favorite belt of all time, so I decided to pick him up over McIntyre who they had at the same store. I'll probly put him up for sale or trade, its a good figure but I'm not too big into legends.

Legends Bulldog


One of the few legends I did want and couldn't find near my house, I always wanted this figure made in the CS line and I'm glad it wasn't, because Mattel nailed it. I wanted this figure mostly because its from my first WWE event the night after WM13.

B6? Hurricane


I found this in town, they got a random case of old basics I guess. The figure is alright overall, I don't care for basics, but the head and mask are perfect, I had to get it since I know the chances are slim of him coming back and getting an Elite.

The 10th figure is Elite Kozlov, I saw him pretty close and I'll be in the area tomorrow so I'm picking him up then. I saw it in the morning and they were closed by the time I got back, and lets be honest, he's probly not the hottest seller right now.

This is a group shot of everything I picked up today on the trip. Its literally 2 figures short of the 10 I had on my list that I wanted to catch up on before E11 in 2 months. Took care of that easy.




I also got these 3 in the mail from Ebay earlier in the week. All 3 are good, the Rey is awesome. Cena was basically free, otherwise I would have waited for the red one.

Couldn't believe how good today turned out by getting way out of town looking for figures, we found way more than we were hoping for. My friend wanted to find Ryder and Kane, and I was looking for Dibiase and hoping for a Rhodes.
