amazing stage, but is their anywhere else where i can get the lights? The Lights sell on many sights but I went with HitLights because I could pick up the lights locally and it was a really good deal. The 4 strips with the controller for $25. The sell on amazon, and ebay i think. Here's a link to another site and there are many others that sell them....more expensive tho. Many on ebay are cheap, but shipping from Hong Kong takes a month. www.ledstripworld.com/ultra-flexible-trichip-led-strip-light-12-leds-30cm-p-4084.html

I went to radio shack and got a 12 volt (8) AA Battery holder.... and a power adapter to connect it to. That replaces the plug in 12 volt power supply. Then I just wired a toggle switch to turn if off and on.

I have a few questions, hope you can get to them:
-Are your strips approx. 30 or 60 LED's per meter? I think those are the two standards -Obviously you connected each strip to the power supply, but how are they connected? Did you have to get several connectors, or is there a "hub"? -I know there are strips available that you can cut at intervals, but how would you feed them into a power supply if I have a few cut segments?
Again, I really hope you can answer these questions, I'm really interested in getting some lights- love your stage.
Thanks!

Again, I really hope you can answer these questions, I'm really interested in getting some lights- love your stage. Thanks! They are about 1 led per inch...so 12 lights per 12 inch strip. They connect end to end with included 4 pin connectors...and they provide some extensions too for when you need some space between the strips. See the pictures here... www.hitlights.com/led-diy-projects/ls5050-rgb4ft24kkit.html#you can cut the every 3 lights i think...but that would remove the 4 pin connecter that is already intact....I only cut the last piece in the chain...on the top of the stage..i have 2 strips end to end...I cut off 3 inches of the last strip. The led controller that comes with the kit hooks to the frist light strip in the chain...all other strips are chained togethor from the first one. The controller is what is wired the the 12 voltl battery source. The kit comes with a wall inverter, I simply just replaced that with the batter pack and the proper 12 volt connector comming off the battery pack..plug right into the controller where the wall inverter did. I put a switch between the wiring so i could turn it off...but you could simply unplug the connector from the battery to the controller if you wanted. hope that helps.

I guess it goes without saying that your stages are MUCH better than what mattel is planning to release.
