With Nasri's move to Man City completed, here's a question:
Do you think if Arsenal won the Carling Cup last season they wouldn't have lost Nasri, Fab, Clichy and be in such a mess/crisis?
Thought it would spark some discussion. Although the Carling Cup is the lesser of the three British trophies it would have ended the "trophy drought" talk. However, they did finish 4th and City being the big money spenders they are, was the Nasri and Clichy deal inevitable? Was Fab going to move back to Barca anyway?
Discuss.

Fabregas would still have moved.
Don't think they would be in this much of a crisis though had they won the Carling Cup, Arsenal are fed up winning NOTHING so would be happy to win the Carling Cup. If they won it would also take the no trophy in 6 (i think) year off their chest and everything would have been different.

if they'd have won the Carling Cup they might not have fallen apart in every other competion aswell and might well have finished the job on Barcelona too, We'll just never know, We can blame it all on Koscielny lol

I think Cesc might have been persuaded to stay one more year, but Nasri/Clichy would have stayed.

Fabregas would have left if they won the freakin' treble. He had his heart set on playing for the team he supports.
Nasri probably not, and I'm sure Wenger was quite happy to let Clichy go, he clearly has alot of faith in Kieron Gibbs.

To be honest they were better off losing, and having what happened to them at the end of last Season, and up at Old Trafford last weekend. It was a huge wake up call that something seriously wrong has been going on at Arsenal, and something needed to be done.
