It's not the concern that used games won't work. I'm confident when I get a used game that it'll work. For me it's those god damn stickers on the front. Sometimes they come off alright, but other times they leave residue behind...

Ive had issues with one game not working ever and it was brand new and in shrinkwrap. used games arent bad and they have a warranty. Anyways I called y friend out at gamestop about this and she tried to justify it. She tried to justify the opening of a new product, tampering with it, and selling it as new? *facepalm* My view, as I said, is once that original factory seal is broken, it's not new anymore. That's how they treat you. If you buy a game that happens to be in factory shrinkwrap, and you break the seal on any part of that shrinkwrap, they will refuse to return the game, and only accept it as a trade, which is about 50% less than regular price, even on launch day. I could buy.....Dead Island when the game comes out on 9/6. I could then walk out of the store, open the shrinkwrap, and walk right back in the store, 30 seconds later, and it's a used game at that point. It's not right that they do that. That's why I like places like Best Buy more, because they keep their games in the plastic cases that only employees can open, and they are NOT allowed to take games home. I go to GameStop because I 1.) have friends that work there and it's fun to shoot the sh*t with them, and 2.) it's more convenient because GameStop is 10 minutes or less from my house whereas Best Buy is 15-20 minutes away.

Just use goo gone and it will come off it like one wipe.

Honestly, I'm almost done with GS myself. I do tend to choose some of the places I shop based on Principal, and their practices as well as things that are allowed in stores are turning me away. As far as used games go, I can wait 3 to 5 days for a super cheap copy of a game from Amazon.
I've been harassed to reserve games at Gamestop. I've had employees try NOT to give me all that was included in a pre order bonus. Just alot of stuff that I'm not cool with.

I can see where people hate gamestop and i understand not going to places based on principle. If I wasnt friends with people in the gamestops i went to I wouldnt bother either, most likely. I just like the cheap games and release parties.

Oh sellers always get raped. Pawn stores and flea markets still rip you off but you get better deals and can negotiate there. Its all about ebay selling.

I had an issue when the first World of Warcraft expansion came out. They gave me a box that had been opened and the activation code didn't work. I called Blizzard and they said the only thing that could have happened is that an employee took it home, installed it, used the code and brought it back. GameStop refused to believe me. I had to get a district manager involved before they would take it back and get me a sealed box.
Luckily, I no longer live there and the people here are nice I'm friends with several of them.
