The original Chewbacca. My grandma got it at a yard sale or something in the late-eighties. He beat the tar out of many a-GI Joe.

It was a small box from Sears. It had Chewbacca, C-3PO & R2-D2 in it. I was hooked since then & finally was able to collect every figure when I finally got a hold of Yak Face sometime in 1993. nice. i know what you mean. it was a sad day when i let all mine go.

I still have mine. I posted a bunch of pictures in the action figure section a while back. I'm still not ready to let them go. s951.photobucket.com/albums/ad360/statlernwaldorf/Nerdy%20Star%20Wars%20crap/

I remember when I was 7 I cried so my mother would buy me this star wars figure. It was Han Solo wearing the snow gear outfit from the Empire strikes back I think.
I have no idea what made me want that toy so badly because I wasn't even a star wars fan. (yet)
When I did get into star wars at about 11 or 12 I got the bountry hunter Jango fett figure that came with loads of guns, removable armour and a jetpack with sound effects. It was awesome.

Star Wars was before my time...at least the first ones were. So I never collected the figures. However my older brother did give me a 16 or 24 inch Chewbacca figure that I still have in almost mint condition.

I think every kid had begged there mom or dad for atleast 1 Star War figure from the early 90s/00's. I remember having a Anakin Skywalker one, as well as Obi 1 and R2 D2.

I think my first ones were an old Greedo (with ripped off ears) and a C-3PO from the first movie. The first one I remember my mom buying me before my brother and I started a journey of childhood nerdity that carries onto this day was this one- I think I owned over 75% of the 90s series up till Episode 1. We sold all our Turtles figures to get more money to buy all the figures and ships (Goodwill was our best friend. Even if it meant missing a few pieces of the Slave 1). Still have a bunch of my original played-with-ones displayed.

Stars Wars wasnt nearly as popular in the 90s with kids as it was in the 70s. I would say it was bigger for the older crowd in the 90s then kids.

I never even saw star wars none the less had a figure. However after watching That 70's Show I had a dream tna wrestling figures crossed over in a line with star wars figures. Then there was a giant replica box in the aisle only inside it was the real sting. It was a really rather weird dream.

Didnt really see many kids interested in the line as much as I did older guys.

Yeah, the POTF collection being launched in the 90's is what got me started as a figure collector as an adult. I used to have a massive Star Wars collection. A ton of vintage stuff, and every single figure released from 1995-2005. I sold the vintage stuff, and actually recently gave away all of my POTF figures to a family with 4 young boys. They were crazy for it, and honestly, none of that stuff is worth the time to sell it.
