He posted a Boost Mobile number on Twitter, the purpose of this number is to have fans call and talk to them. It wasn't an accident and turned out to be his real number, if that were the case I wouldn't have disrespected his privacy. Anyway, my girlfriend saw it on Twitter and dialed the number just to see what happened. Next thing we know, we hear, "Ello this is George." She handed me the phone. I go, "George, man, what's up?" He goes, "I'm headed to the gym, how are you?" I respond, "I'm good man, you?" He says, "I'm good. I'm in Oregon." I say, "What the HELL are you doing in Oregon?" "I'm training, walking to the door just now." I'm not going to keep him from doing his job, so I say I'll let him go, and thanks for the talk. He's such a nice guy, he actually says, "Yea I'm headed in. Hey, what are your picks for tomorrow night?" I give him my picks, "I've got Spider in the main, think I might have to say Shogun in the Co, and I'm actually taking Big Nog over Schaub. Schaub's a beast, and I'm picking with my heart, but I don't think Nog pulling this out is unrealistic at all." He says, "We're the same except for Schaub, I think he's the man and I'm picking him over Nogueira." From there we wrapped it up. Respond with 'cool story bro,' if you must, I just thought it was a fun experience to share. He was such a nice guy, so classy. I was going to let him go and he went out of his way to ask me who my picks were. Quick version: G-Sots is in cool.

But nah, I heard about this little thing going around, that they were doing this. It's cool that someone "I know" actually got through. George was probably taking calls all day. Hopefully UFC does this more with lesser known guys. Good publicity for fighters and a good way to build their popularity

That's awesome mate, as a fellow Aussie it's great to see George doing well in the UFC, and good to know he has remained a classy individual.
