While I was watching Benoit vs JBL from WM 22 I had the thought of what would have happened if what happened with Benoit hadn't happened, do you think he'd still be wrestling today?
I think Eddie would be if he'd lived, but I have my doubts about Benoit.
I also think Owen would have left by now. It's pretty well known he wanted to make his money and get out to have a quiet family life.
So what do you guys think?

it's hard to say! i think with the drug abuse and toll on their bodies benoit and eddie would be physical wrecks. both would be in their mid forties and would have been around for a while so likely would be stale!

Benoit would still be in or around it, similar to Regal & Finlay, as a veteran/agent, wrestling was in his blood.
Owen would be long retired, wanted out before he was 40.

I think Eddie would have broken down too-same with Benoit.
I think both would have became enhancement talent for guys on the way to the top-a role Eddie probably would have liked.

I think Eddie would have been in the main event scene for most of 2007 and then slowly leave the ring and be a road agent. I could see Benoit still wrestling right now. The man loved to wrestler, it was his life.

I think Eddie and benoit would still be aroun din some form. We also would have seen a CS Benoit figure.
Owen would have long been retired. I also believe he would've had a reign as WWF champion.

Owen would have been gone by the early 2000s at the latest. It was well known that while he loved wrestling, it wasn't his only passion. He wanted to leave as soon as possible because he hated the attitude era and wanted to spend time w/ his family. Maybe a short return in the mid 2000s, but I can't see him doing much more than that.
Benoit would have probably been retired by now. Its no secret that Benoit's body was starting to break down towards the end of his career, and w/ a previously broken neck and other nagging injuries, he would have definatly been retired by now. Maybe a match here or there, but I think he would have become a road agent and help the younger guys.
Eddie is questionable. He didn't have nearly as many injuries as Benoit did, so I think he would have been wrestling part time like HBK and Taker were doing the last few years, had an on-air non-wrestling role like a general manager, or been a road agent w/ Benoit.

I think Owen would of left around 2002, and would of had a WWF Title reign and WHC reign(probably) They would probably made HHH and Owen have another feud but with the WHC and Owen finally beating Hunter.
Eddie would of retired in 2008 - 09, would of had matches with Undertaker and HBK at wrestlemania's, another World title reign and would now probably be a road agent or FCW Trainee or the GM of SD?
Benoit would of held the ECW title for some time, ECW would still be here? He would probably be having his last couple of years here until becoming a road agent or something.
Others: British Bulldog - probably a World title reign when he returned. Tag Champ with his son? would of retired a year ago? Mr. Perfect - beat Jarrett for the nwa title, return to WWE shortly after and beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title. Tag Champ with his son also? would of retired from around 2007 - 09. Test - would of returned to WWE for one last run( around 4 years run) win the ECW title around his return and at least the WWE or World title reign soon after. Russ Haas - Tag Champs with his bro multiple of times, IC or US reign at least once of twice and maybe main eventing now?
