So, I'm watching a Curt Henning Vs Nick Bockwinkle match from AWA and all I can think is how bad the AWA commentary is. I've never heard anyone commentate for them that I enjoy. So who can you guys just not stand?

rob bartlett,who was on the first 4 months of Raw...clearly had no frigging clue what he was talking about...
Steve McMichael,too, on Nitro....more interested in verbally sparring with Heenan than anything going on in the ring...

I've always hated Mike Tenay. From the way he's got to yell during a match, as if he thinks it makes the match sound more exciting, to the stupid faces he makes at the table, or when he'd interview a wrestler. He's basically a microphone tough guy.
The other guy I always hated was Mark Madden. His going into business for himself, style of commentary during the dying WCW days was just awful. He was constantly making references, that either no one got, or had nothing to do with anything on the show.

Tony Shivonne (sp?) got on my nerves a bit
Never cared for Todd Grisham to be honest
Adamle was terrible
I tell you who I love though... Gorilla and Vince! I've heard people refer to Vince as iritating but I loved it. He's still my voice when I do matches with figs

when I look back-especially in the "new generation" times Vionces drives me nuts. the way he creams his pants over HBK all the time is unreal.I also used to hate Cole-now I  in despise him. you will neverr get a combo like Gorilla and ventura again.just effin GOLD. |

lawler irritates me. i don't find him funny at all. not hugely keen on JR either, but he's ok.
i also dislike tazz, larry zbysko, dusty rhodes, and steve mcmichael.
my favorite team has always been Schiavone, Heenan and Tenay. Schiavone for the play by play, Tenay for the facts and trivia, and Heenan always cracks me up.
i also quite like eric bischoff. and scott hudson too.

Vince sucked. Cole sucks. Tenay as "The Professor" in wCw was fine but in TNA he sucks. Mongo sucked. Zbyszko sucked.
However the ultimate worst...was Art Donovan.
Watch King of the Ring 1994 if you dare.

Cole annoys me. His constant shouting and other bs is unnecessary.
I'm shocked no one has said Booker T since WF hates him. I however find Booker hilarious when he shouts "WUT DA HELL?!"

I think the whole Hogan turn at Bash at the Beach was ruined with poor commentary. I can't help but think ANY WWF announce team would have made that so much more than it was
Going off memory Heenan questions what side he was on, shouldn't have been said, it should not have entered anyones mind that he was going to turn, I guess Heenan didn't know and said it as a throwaway

Watch King of the Ring 1994 if you dare. I swear Savage & Monsoon just ignore him. At times I felt bad for the guy as he would ask a question but neither would answer him! Anyway, Schiavone, Lawler (since 1999), Taz, Heyman (ironically), and JR (since 2005). The worst, Mark Madden. As bad WCW was in its dying days, nothing was worst in that company than Mark Madden's commentary. on the positive side, Gorilla and Ventura PURE GOLD! No other team has ever or will ever come close for me as announcing teams go. Hell they had the ability to make any match, no matter how bad, enjoyable! |

Watching any of the old Nitro episodes makes me want to hang myself.. I know many people loved that team, but they seemed so phony to me.. I can't stand tenay and they really ruined Nitro for me.
