| APRIL 1ST, 2002 | ALBANY, NEW YORK |

An all new opening video is shown, along with the debut of a new RAW logo. The cameras then cut to the arena where we see the new Titantron along with the opening pyro display as JR and King welcome the fans at home to the brand new Monday Night RAW!"WOOOOOOOOOOOO!" is heard over the speakers as the show kicks off with the boss making his way down the ramp. Flair gets in the ring, where there is a podeum with a black sheet covering it. First off, Flair welcomes everyone to the all new Monday Night RAW and thanks the fans in attendance and the viewers at home. He only has a few words to say about the Steve Austin situation, but seems very confident that Austin will be signing with RAW, and hopes that Vince doesn't get his hopes up too much.
At this point, Flair is cut off by the music of The Undertaker, who slowly walks down to the ring, not taking his eyes of off Flair. 'Taker grabs the mic out of Flair's hand. Chants of "bunghole!" echo throughout the arena, which seem like they are getting inside the head of the "Deadman". 'Taker proceedes to cut a promo badmouthing Flair, telling him that sense he drafted him to RAW, he's got to deal with him. He tells Flair that he already knows whats on the podeum; the new WWF Undisputed Championship belt, and says he wants to take a look at it and asks Flair if he is trying to disrespect him, citing Triple H's name on the belt and demands a shot at the gold. 'Taker asks Flair if their match at WrestleMania X8 wasn't enough for him, and says he could pick up the peices and finish the job right now.
However, Triple H's music hits and out walks the WWF Undisputed Champion to a massive roar of cheers from the crowd. Triple H and Undertaker go face to face, with 'Taker telling the champ how he beat him last year at WrestleMania and he could do it again tonight for the Undisputed title. Triple H responds by telling him that he doesn't have to wait for an official title match to get a peice of him, and both men began trading punches with each other, seeing "The Game" come out looking stronger as 'Taker retrieted out of the ring. Flair presented Triple H with the new Undisputed Championship belt, who climbed on the turnbuckles and posed with the belt for the fans.-Commercial break-Raven def. Maven via pinfall to win the WWF Hardcore title. Raven brought with him to the ring a shopping cart filled with weapons ranging from a stop sign to a bowling pin to kendo sticks. Maven started off strong with repeated kendo stick shots, and temporarily blinding the champion with a fire extinguisher. Maven looked as if he would have put Raven away with a Moonsault had he connected, but the rookie took just a bit too long to execute the move. Raven clocked Maven over the head with the bowling pin, then connected with a Raven Effect on trash can lid to put him away for the count. After the match, Raven celebrated with the Hardcore title, but coming out of nowhere, Tommy Dreamer layed out Raven with a kendo stick before hitting him with a DDT and winning the Hardcore title under the 24/7 rule.A graphic is shown for tonight's WWF Intercontinental Championship match as Rob Van Dam defends against a former champion in his own right, Mr. Perfect.-Commercial break-We see the nWo walking around backstage, when the discover the APA's abandoned "office". They all walk towards it, when Hall stops them and says they have to use the door. After the walking through the stand-alone door, each of them grab a seat at the table and crack a beer.A limo is shown pulling in to the parking garage of the arena. When it stops, the driver gets out and opens the door for a confident looking Mr. McMahon.Former "Alliance MVP" Chris Kanyon is in the ring with a microphone. Kanyon issued an open challenge and talked himself up as one of the greatest of all time, even going as far to say that if he would have been apart of Team Alliance in the Winner-Take-All match at Survivor Series that the Alliance would without a doubt be alive today. His challenge was answered by probably the last man Kanyon had hoped for...Kane!-Commercial break-Kane def. Kanyon via pinfall. Essentially this was just a squash match. Kanyon got some good offence in the early going, but it was all down hill for him after running right in to a big boot from the "Big Red Machine". Kane picked up the win following a Chokeslam. Chris Jericho cut a promo backstage putting himself over as the new "face of Monday Night RAW", and that The Undertaker isn't the only dog out there who's after an Undisputed title shot. Jericho blames Stephanie McMahon for him losing the title and vows to return to the top.Backstage, we see Ric Flair with four security guards as they approach the owner of SmackDown!, Mr. McMahon. Flair tells McMahon that his only buisness here is the Steve Austin contract signing, and until then, he is to be removed from the arena and will be escorted back in when the time is ready. Security leads Vince out of the building as he screams "I'm Vince McMahon damnit!".-Commercial break-Ric Flair and The Undertaker are once again face-to-face, this time backstage. 'Taker informs Flair that he wasn't kidding around about a title shot, and says he has the ability to make Flair's life a living hell, both professionally and personally. Flair tells 'Taker to be careful about making threats and that he will make an annoucement later tonight reguarding the number one contender situation.Bradshaw is shown backstage carrying a eighteen pack and smoking a cigar. He arrives at the APA "office" and discovers the nWo just hanging out. Bradshaw immediately tells them all "to get the hell out", which doesn't go over too well. Bradshaw was left laying flat with the table flipped over on him as the nWo walked off with Bradshaw's beer, smiling and laughing about it.-Commercial break-Edge def. Chris Jericho via DQ. Back and forth from the start. During the course of the match, Jericho's focus was on targeting Edge's back and neck with nearly every manuever. Edge went for the Spear, but Jericho moved out of the way and Edge ended up making full contact with the corner post. Jericho followed up quickly with a roll-up, but the referee observed Jericho's feet on the ropes. Jericho began argueing with the referee, which allowed Edge some time to recooperate. Edge attempted the Edgecution, but Jericho countered it into the Walls of Jericho! After a thrilling struggle, Edge finally managed to reach the ropes, but Jericho pulled him back into the middle of the ring. After somehow managing to make it to the bottom rope again, Jericho refused to let go of the hold, resulting in a disqualification after ignoring the referee's five count. Jericho finally released the Walls of Jericho, but his assult wasn't done. Jericho grabbed a chair from the timekeeper's desk and blasted Edge over the head with it before finally heading to the back to a chorus of boos.A split-screen showing Lita and Trish Stratus walking backstage towards the ring area, while Ivory and the WWF Women's Champion, Jazz are walking on the opposite side of the building. Divas tag action is up next!-Commercial break-Trish Stratus & Lita def. Ivory & WWF Women's Champion Jazz via pinfall. The match started off with Trish and Ivory, as Jazz drew some heat refusing to start the match off with Stratus. Lita scored the fall on Jazz after a Litasault. Lita and Trish celebrated in the ring as Ivory and Jazz agued with each other walking up the ramp.Ric Flair is sitting at his desk in his office. He tells everyone that next week we will find out who the number one contender is for the WWF Undisputed Championship in a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match!-Commercial break-Rob Van Dam def. Mr. Perfect via pinfall to retain the WWF Intercontinental title. This match was purely great, and easily the match of night. It lasted about fifteen minutes, and saw both competitors getting a great deal of offence in. Perfect looked as if he was going to win the title with a Perfect Plex, but at the last second RVD got his foot across the bottom rope. Perfect exposed one of the top turnbuckles, but it ended up backfiring on him, hitting face first on the exposed steel, then Van Dam connected with a Springboard Leg Lariat to lay him flat in the middle of the ring for the 5-Star Frog Splash to score the victory. Van Dam celebrated his victory, holding the Intercontinental title above his head before Mr. Perfect cheap shots him from behind and lays him out with a Perfect Plex. As Perfect started walking back up the ramp, Eddie Guerrero came running through the crowd, over the barricade and into the ring. Guerrero connected with his version of the Frog Splash on RVD before holding up the Intercontinental title.-Commercial break-A replay of what happened just moments ago is shown, with Eddie Guerrero returning and hitting a Frog Splash on the Intercontinental Champion.Ric Flair and Vince McMahon both come out to the ring, which has been set up with a red carpet, desk and three chairs. The two owners take verbal shots at each other until they are interupted by the glass shattering noise meaning nothing other than the arrival of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who gets the loudest pop of the night from the capacity crowd.
Austin is ready to get down to buisness, as he quickly tosses the chairs and table out of the ring. Austin cuts a breif promo, with the fans piping in "What!?" after every line. He tells Flair and McMahon that he thought long and hard about his decission and that he wanted to be apart of the brand that would truely be the best option for him. He adds that throughout all of the success he had in the WWF, Vince McMahon has been his boss. To the shock of everyone, Austin shook hands with Mr. McMahon and Flair couldn't believe it, while McMahon had a sinister smile on his face. Austin informs Vince of one more thing...It's April Fools Day! McMahon ends up on the recieving end of a Stone Cold Stunner, as Flair raises his hands in celebration, only to end up taking a Stunner as well. Austin kicks McMahon's SmackDown! contract of the ring and signs the RAW contract and places it in Flair's suit jacket. Austin poored a beer on Mr. McMahon and put an unopened can in Flair's hand, echoing in a new era of Monday Night RAW with a beer bash in the ring - or in typical Steve Austin fashon.
