Mattel's are so much better than Jakks IMO.
While I do like Jakks' belts after I painted them. The sculpts on Mattel's have been awesome. Size isn't perfect yet, but Jakks resized a lot of theirs over the years too.
The World Title's details are MUCH more accurate than the Jakks one, IMO.
The US Title looks perfect except it's too big as mentioned. BUT, they gave us the end plates which Jakks NEVER did. And still doesn't with the TNA belts and didn't with the Smoking Skull or European Titles either.
The current IC Title (whether matte or vac-metal, painted or no) is still 500x better than the Jakks one, which I have despised greatly since the first time I tried to releather it and realized how dumb it looked. Same with the current WWE Title. So good.
I don't have the other belts from Mattel, but I love the looks of the classic IC and the Million Dollar Titles a lot--they seem better than Jakks. The Winged Eagle could go either way, the Jakks one was pretty solid and I'd really have to compare them in person. Same with the Raw/SD Tag Belts.
Overall, Mattel by far. Especially considering they still really just began and will be putting out many more belts in the coming years.

Mattelis the clear choice for me. Although the 1/500 jakks belts were great. My thoughts exactly. I do love the jakks Attitude World Title as well.

I'm going to give the edge to Mattel, but both of them were/are very disappointing with their cheapness. Mattel, on the other hand, paints the designs(on most of them), but refuse to make the plates shiny on most belts so they look crappy and cheap. But at least the belts themselves look like what the actual belts in real life are designed to look like, except for when they make them out of dull plastic instead of the shiny coating. No clue what this guy is talkin about.. i have 5 different Shiney metal plated belts that came with metal figures (WWE, Tag Team, US, Intercontinental) So def Mattel does way better.. Jakks never painted there belts, even though Mattel are makin duller titles NOW, they still paint them and make them look good.. also the detail on that United States title and IC title, hell all the titles are so amazing.. but yeah, the above statements he made are obviously untrue considering i have 5 Shiney belts as i mentioned, and as im sure a majority of others here do too.. lol but Mattel all the way.. unless they just stop painting there titles for some reason its always going too be mattel for the obvious answer

JAKKS, but just by a little. Mattel's "leather seems to be better, but the design and some of the sizes (classic Winged Eagle and classic IC, respectively) kill off the belt.
The JAKKS 1/500 diecast and painted belts are great and the designs and siezes were pretty close.
I mean both companies have great ones and bad ones.

Its hard to say. Mattel at their best I think are definitely a superior product, but they've not really displayed much consistency here. Like Jakks, they've limited their best belts to one line and thus far have a track record of doing it right once and then never again. Their dull belts are a massive step back from Jakks' unpainted belt. Literally. That's what belts looked 15-20 years ago. Mattel may have a better batting average at this point, but mostly because they've released so few belts.

Mattel by a country mile. The first releases with shiny finish and coloured details are the best wrestling figure belts ever made by any company, so far.

Jakks produced alot of belts and they were great. Mattel has produced amazing belts, but lately the quality has gone way done. If I had to chose, Id go with Mattel by a hair. If Mattel continued to produced belts, like the Elite 8 WWE and IC, then Mattel easily. Yeah this is how I feel. Wish they would stop being so damn cheap. ![::)](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/rolleyes.gif)

Quality=Mattel
Quantity=Jakks
Everyone came with a belt, I had plenty. Hell figures came with belts they never even won!

I prefer jakks tbh...I'm sure mattel will eventually clinch it once they release new championships...
Mattels IC and WWE Championships are easily better than jakks efforts, although that wasnt the hardest thing to do...
Jakks has the edge on the US and Tag belts mainly due to there sizes...jakks are sized great, whilst the mattels are either too small or too big...
I havnt really seen the mattel million $ title or either of the classic titles in person, but they do look pretty similar to the jakks ones...
I can't agree with the comments about the lack of painting on belts...it's not the worst thing in the world, as this can be easily fixed...
Overall, jakks has the edge...but I'm sure once mattel get size issues sorted and release more titles like current and classic tag titles etc, they'll take the win

Mattel belts are more accurate for the most part(U.S. & IC belts) and I like the peg and hole style to strap them.
Jakks belts were always either too long and the excess part of the strap always showed up behind figures. Jakks had a lot of cool belts though, their winged eagle and ECW belts are 2 of my favorite belts ever.
