I've been working on this for weeks (only being able to work on it during the weekends due to school) and I FINALLY got it done. Saw all the great customs being posted recently and it made me want to finish it even more. Sin Cara Negro (11/20/11)Here's a close up of the head: Painting the silver part was a pain in the butt, to say the least. I couldn't paint thin layers because the next layer would just wipe away the previous one for some reason. So the silver parts might look a little lumpy. Also, the horns on the mask kept breaking off as I was having a hard time curing the sculpey (yes, I need to move on to Apoxie Sculpt but I don't have the money for that haha). Nevertheless, I am super glad to have finished this and am satisfied with the results. Thanks for looking! *BTW I'm in need of some new brushes for details. Does anyone have recommendations? The one I have is a 3/0, I think. |

Man, Sin Cara Negro came out real nice. I love the head and wristcuffs.
I got some thin brushes on eBay, 10/0. Like 7 bucks shipped.

Awesome sin cara, the head looks really great especially in the eyes area, all the other customs are really poor on this (no eyes...)
I really dig the back logo and the nice paintjob too

christianedge: thanks! What is the brand on your brushes? I heard Dynasty (or something like that) brushes were good. whydraft2: yeah, I noticed that not a lot of people do the eyes of the mask which is why I decided to sculpt it. I think it really helps. Thanks for the comments, man.
