Not sure if this true not, but he was my PE teacher, I never noticed anything wrong with him, but it goes to show you don't know someone like they do.
Also, doesn't help the stereotype.
EDIT
He was acquitted of all charges today and will return back to work soon.
Philip Bugg a PE teacher at Sewell Park College, formerly Blyth-Jex, is standing trial at Norwich Crown Court accused of eight offences against a girl under the age of 16, including one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
Bugg, of Philip Drive, Poringland, pictured, is also charged with two counts of sexual activity with a child and three counts of cruelty against the same girl. He denies all the charges.
Bugg, 37, played for Norwich City’s centre of excellence as a youngster and went on to win the FA Vase at Wembley while playing for Diss Town in 1994. He also played for Wroxham and Watton United.
The court heard when Bugg was arrested on January 7 this year, he told police: “She is lying.” The girl’s identity is protected for legal reasons.
Yesterday, the jury began hearing details of the allegations before watching more than two-and-a-half hours of DVD footage of the girl’s interviews with police and social workers.
William Carter, prosecuting, said the offences took place during a three-year period, but it was not until later the girl made allegations of physical and sexual abuse.
She told her boyfriend she had been raped and eventually spoke to a counsellor at school, which led to social services and police being involved.
Mr Carter said: “She was nine, not far short of her 10th birthday, when she first recalls she was abused. Mr Bugg hit her with a closed fist in the chest and told her she was no good and had messed everything up.
“She remembers being told ‘don’t tell your mum, or you’ll get it worse’ and was afraid, so didn’t tell her mum.”
Mr Carter continued to describe another incident the girl recalled, when Mr Bugg became angry with her, dragged her by her arm and then punched her in the stomach.
He added: “The defendant acted as if nothing had happened and thereafter hit her regularly with his fist. We’re not talking about any punishment that was reasonable here; it was cruelty.”
The jury was told Bugg would brush against the girl so he came into contact with her and would sometimes whisper in her ear that she was “a freak”.
More graphic details of the alleged rape were told to the jury, including claims Bugg told her afterwards “it was all she was good for”.
The girl was asked to clarify why she had originally told police Bugg had “tried” to rape her and she replied by saying: “I felt ashamed of myself; I didn’t want people to think of me that way.”
She also claimed during the rape, Bugg punched her on the arms about five times.
The trial continues today, when defence lawyer Richard Wood will begin to cross-examine the girl.
