They should have just stuck with TNA iMPACT and changed the color of the logo to the blue they have for Impact Wrestling. The ringskirts and turnbuckles could have been white, the ropes could have been blue, and the ringskirts could have had a blue iMPACT logo on them. The change they made in May was a wrong decision because it screwed up what TNA's name is. I think it's TNA: Impact Wrestling, but I don't think that's even official.

Nothing is screwed up. The company is still TNA. The confusion stems from their decision to completely abandon references to TNA on-air. To me, it's simple. They moved away from the bush-league sounding "TNA" moniker (face it, it's a terrible name) and refer to the company as Impact Wrestling, while at the same time keeping their corporate name TNA Entertainment, Inc.
Neither name is very suitable for a wrestling promotion. TNA is just a joke and Impact Wrestling screams "locally syndicated Indy fed." That's why, in my opinion, they should have gone after the NWA name again. It lends history, credibility, and has a strong recognition factor among knowledgeable fans. There are multiple ways they could go about it, whether it be NWA:TNA or simply dropping TNA altogether and taking the NWA moniker. I don't know, just things to ponder.
