I see every ones point, and I am just trying to justify paying the $30+ 10.00 shipping price tag at RSC. All for a HALF new Macho man. It is a RSC exclusive and it will be the only way to get this figure. So I have to bit$h and complain before I hit the order button. bret, cena DM's, and flash back 12's will all be in retail so this will offically be the first over priced figure I ever purchase. By the way Bret's first figure gets a belt when he did not have the belt? DM Cena has 7 huge extras and thats cost effective?? Big show 2 Belts?? wich these are all welcome changes I am not complaining about that! Just keep it coming with the new figs. No. You are right to question any purchase before you make it. If you buy it and then complain that seems foolish because it implies that you didn't know what you were buying in the first place. I don't mind repaints because I like to have all the different attires of my favorite wrestlers but it bothers alot of people. I like being able to have complete sets of whatever I collect so I view the $30 price tag as just a necessary part of collecting. You want them all you buy them all regardless if you like them or not in my opinion and really once you get a big collection and you can take a look back at all you have and see the overall awesomeness that is when you think to yourself, "Yes. Money well spent." If you are a Macho Man fan and you skip over this figure and at some point down the road you decide that you want it you should also consider that it might only be available at a higher price. Just things to consider about the Macho King.

I like the figures either way, but they should have released one of them with a title

Big Show has belts because he held those tag titles. Bret has a belt because, while the box says Canadian Stampede, it's also basically a Screwjob figure, which I'm sure he didn't want on the box. So either one is right, and at Survivor Series 1997, he DID have the belt. Cena has it because he was WWE Champion when he got drafted to RAW, and before he was WWE Champion, he was US Champion, with his custom spinner US Title. So this was the only way we could really get that, so we got that belt too.

bit of a weird point...all stars and DM werent title appropriate.
L5 was and should have came with the World belt.Macho King comes with his crown.
his only release missing a belt is L5.

his only release missing a belt is L5. Would you have rather Legends 5 come with a belt (a belt which we're getting with Bret and likely several other figures in future) or with the shades, t-shirt and bandana?

Big Show has belts because he held those tag titles. Also the reason they went in with that Big Show figure is because the designers thought that might be the one chance to get those belts in the line -- same with DM Cena and the US title. People should keep in mind as well that Elite 10 Yoshi Tatsu had no accessories, which probably allowed them to include two belts and a t-shirt with Show in that series. I don't get why people think a title belt would've been better than the Macho Man entrance gear with the Legends 5 figure.

ok, lets assume all that is true. L5 had 4 figures I repeat 4 figs: rick martel, glasses, bow, jacket, pin and fragrance spray? bam bam jacket, and arm straps. ahkeem? by the way all 3 peg warming around here. All of machos gear was great, and again I ask where was the BELT. He could have easily got glasses, bandana and shirt +++a belt!

If he were to ever come with a title I would want it to be his WM 8 gold attire that would be killer along with the title.

While the tshirts are a nice accessory they are useless to me. I think the only non DM figures I have wearing them still on display are Entrance Piper & the EG Jericho. Unless it is an entrance robe/jacket (Orndorff/Rude/Von Erich's/Martel...etc) or wrestler specifice accessories (LOD Spikes /Demolition masks & vests /HHH sledge & water bottle...etc) I display them in ring attire. I'd much rather have title belts over tshirts.

Personally, if I had to choose, I would have much rather seen L5 include a robe and headband, which Savage always wore to the ring, as opposed to a t-shirt and full bandana, which he seldom ever wore. I kind of think of L5 as "WWF Merchandise Catalog" Randy Savage.

He could have easily got glasses, bandana and shirt +++a belt! Oh, I see. You didn't realise that Mattel has to keep to budgets for this line. several other figures in the future?I wouldnt hold my breath. It's already been released with Bret and is coming with Andre. Then why complain? Well, I can answer that for me. While the tshirts are a nice accessory they are useless to me. I'd much rather have title belts over tshirts. So would you rather have a title belt that's going to be released multiple times or a wrestler-specific accessory?

It's not disrespectful at all to the wrestlers. i think the buyer feels disrespected when they don't get cool things with the figs and usually a belt is at the top of the list. Just be happy we did get some classic belts in the Legends line.

While I think it's odd that Savage hasn't come with a WWF Championship, they haven't really released a figure of him that warrants him coming with a belt. Each Savage has been apropriate for it's release and is pretty much perfect.
I'm really hoping that Mattel or Ringside's next Savage figure is in his Wrestlemania 8 attire with an entrance jacket/hat & a winged eagle belt. THAT would be one helluva figure.

No, I'm saying when it's appropriate to the wrestler I'd rather a title belt then T-shirts, because I have no use for them. I said I display wrestler specific accessories. Thing's such as Sarge's hat/glasses/whistle, LOD's spikes, Demolition's masks & pads, Macho's glasses & bandanna, Funk's hat/branding iron, Vader's masks, Von Erich's robes & jacket, Orndorff's robe, Hitman's jacket/glasses, Triple H sledge/water bottle, Hacksaw's 2X4 & flag...etc are all wrestler specific accessories I display on my figures. But as far as the shirts go other than Piper's "Hot Rod" shirt I just don't consider t-shirts to be them. The reason Piper's is to me is because whether it was the "Hot Rod", "Panther" "Superman S shied" or "ICON" shirt he always wore a t-shirt to the ring. But with Macho if he wasn't going to be given a robe I'd have rather he got a title belt over the t-shirt.

Which is why I'm asking-- surely you understand why Mattel would spend the figure budget on character-specific accessories rather than title belts, if it's a choice between the two? There's always going to be figures like Warrior, Andre etc (who don't really have character-specific accessories) who can come with belts.

There's always going to be figures like Warrior, Andre etc (who don't really have character-specific accessories) who can come with belts. lol. You just don't get it. Joker's original comment was to the original poster saying that out of the 3 Macho man figures released so far only the Legends Series 5 figure would have been correct to with a title. He didn't have the title at WM nor did he have one with the All-Stars era Savage. So he was saying that the L5 figure was the only one of the three that would have been correct if it had the title. He never complianed about the accessories it came with nor did he wished it had the title. As for your question to me. Yes, I know others like the shirts and there's a budget for each series. And like I said I like them too, but I just don't have a use for them. But that's not what you asked me. I know there's a budget on the lines. But again you came out and asked me which I would rather have. And I told you if I had a choice I would much rather have the title belts that I would display on my figures over a shirt that I would never use. I don't care how many belts I'd get because I'd display them on as many of the wrestlers who carried them in their careers as I could. But for me the shirts are a waste, because when I open the figures I do 1 of 2 things with the shirts...I either toss the shirts in the trash or I first take a pic of the figure in the shirt and then I toss the shirt into a bin in the closet pretty much never to be seen again. It's the same thing I did with the base & nametags. Again I know people like those as well and again while I thought they were a nice extra I'd rather display my figures without the bases. The only bases I kept out for display were the EG bases.

I imagine if/when we get a 1992 Macho, we'll get a winged eagle with him, as he was champ from Mania to a month after Summerslam
