Impact Wrestling starts with Mike Tenay and Taz welcoming the viewers after pyrotechnics. The show transitions to Hulk Hogan coming out to the ring with Eric Bischoff. Hogan tells everyone that this is his last night in TNA and that he refuses to wrestle Sting. Bischoff thinks he can tag along with Hogan, but Sting enters the ring. Sting pops the question of “Why don’t we do the match tonight Hogan?” Dixie Carter entered the ring and told Sting and Hogan that the match at Bound For Glory has been canceled.
Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelley vs. Brian Kendrick
The match had a solid ten minutes. Aries was beaten most of the match by Kendrick and Shelley. Kendrick and Shelley brawled before Shelley hit Sliced Bread #2 on Kendrick. Aries dragged Shelley out of the ring and tossed him into the barricade, afterwards he rolled into the ring and scored the pinfall.
Austin Aries issued a challenge for Bound For Glory. He put his X Division Championship up for grabs against the man who accepts his challenge. The instrumental beat of “Ole” played throughout the arena and El Generico stood on top of the ramp. Generico vs. Aries was set for Bound For Glory.
Hogan and Bischoff were being escorted out of the arena by security. Once they were out of the arena Sting showed up with his baseball bat. Hogan held Bischoff in front of him and Sting looked Bischoff in the eyes before telling him to get the hell out of the way. Hogan tried to run, but the outside lights went out and Hogan couldn’t see. A car started up and Hogan was seen in the headlights. The car came within two feet of hitting Hogan, and Hogan said he would face Sting at Bound For Glory. Sting stepped out of the car and told him that it wasn’t going to happen at Bound For Glory because it was going to happen tonight.
Bobby Roode vs. Christopher Daniels
The match lasted fifteen minutes. It was very back and forth between Daniels and Roode, but it ended with Roode forced Daniels to tap to the Arm Trap Crossface.
Kurt Angle walked onto the top of the stage and clapped. Bobby Roode rolled out of the ring and walked up the ramp and gave Angle a look.
Hogan is shown backstage preparing for his match against Sting tonight. Ric Flair walks into the locker room Hogan is in and tells him that Sting is a mad man. Hogan doesn’t feel normal having to wrestle Sting tonight.
Eric Young walked into WWE headquarters with his TNA TV Championship. He asked if he could speak to Vince McMahon, but he was denied access to the upper levels of the building. Young walked out of the building, he turned around and seen Shawn Michaels. Young was speechless for a few seconds before challenging Michaels to a match. Michaels accepted the challenge, afterwards Young said that the match would take place at Bound For Glory.
Mickie James vs. Angelina Love
The match lasted five minutes. Angelina Love was being destroyed in the match before Winter helped Angelina secure the pin.
Hulk Hogan walked down the hallway before seeing Dixie Carter. Hogan tried to apologize for his actions in the past and attempted to get out of this match against Sting. Carter told him that Sting will wrestle him up next and that it will be a Falls Count Anywhere match.
Hulk Hogan vs. Sting
Hulk Hogan walked out of the ring and tried to go backstage. Sting grabbed Hogan’s head and smashed it into the tron. Hogan threw a weak punch at Sting before Sting grabbed Hogan by the neck and tossed him down the stairs to enter the entrance stage. Sting managed to get chains and hang Hogan by his arms in a caged area. Hogan begged Sting to stop, but Sting grabbed a chair. Sting hit Hogan repeatedly with a steel chair. Referees were running backstage to stop Sting, but Sting locked the caged area so he was the only one who could get himself out. Hogan cried for help before Sting hit Hogan over the head and made him bleed. Dixie Carter stood at the cage and asked Sting to stop this nonsense. Sting told the referees to move out of the way if he was going to stop, so they moved. He grabbed the key to the lock and unlocked it. Sting walked out and locked the cage again, and he left with a key. Sting watched Hogan bleed like crazy. Referees couldn’t get the cage door unlocked because Sting still had the key and he refused to give it to them. Sting screamed “This is a new era of TNA!” Everybody moved out of the way and Sting left the scene. The show ended with Hulk Hogan hanging and bleeding.
