Yet another cheesy ass Marvel movie filled with bad one liners and CGI. These boards crack me up! I laugh that some of you said "Avengers will be better than TDKR". Yeah Right!!!

Regarding Dark Knight Rises vs. Avengers. TDKR will be a better movie when it comes down to it. That's because Nolan's a meticulous director who has puts much more focus on technique, characterization and story. Seriously, there's barely a single line of dialogue that doesn't further the plot in TDK. And I say that as someone who is really underwhelmed by the characters chosen for TDK Rises. However, as people have said. These movies are incomparable. Avengers is about fun. You see Avengers to leave your mind at the door. Whedon's more interested in giving you mind-blowing action with some hard laughs interspersed. He's not after any kind of Kubrick-esque cinematic mastery with this one. Whether or not people prefer Avengers is a matter of taste. Fact is, Avengers was one of the finest movies to come out of Hollywood in a LONG time. It accomplished exactly what it tried to. Also, after mulling it over with a friend, I have come to this conclusion. Top 3 comic book movies for me are: 1) The Dark Knight 2) Sin City 3) Avengers.

Don't have time to elaborate a lot right now, but this movie was near perfect and by far the best comic movie of all time. I have been waiting for that movie for 30 years, and I am so thrilled that Joss and Marvel delivered such an incredible movie for us. Every character was perfectly executed. Just blown away.

Can anyone point me towards a link to the post-credit scenes? I was too hungry to wait around. Thanks in advance!

I'm in awe. Not only was the movie amazing, but the set up for Avengers 2, maybe even 3 (yes i know it's early) is outstanding. 10/10

Saw it Friday night. Hadn't really been following the hype despite having seen almost all of the films that led to this one (most of which I enjoyed quite a bit). I really, really enjoyed it. I wouldn't place it in quite the same category as The Dark Knight or even Batman Begins, but in terms of straight up comic book films, I think the only other one that gives it a run for its money is X-Men: First Class.

I saw this today I sat next to a annoying girl "Tonight at 11, a young man arrested for RKO-ing an annoying 7 year old girl during the opening weekend of Marvel's "The Avengers". More on this, later." Would have been my reaction at least.

I'll probably see it again. Was it better than TDK? No. Will it be better than TDKR? No. But that's okay, it was still fantastic. Best Marvel Studios movie since Iron Man.

I was never left with that 'wow' feeling when I watched The Dark Knight. However I was with The Avengers, simply put, its the best superhero movie I've seen. Nolan won't be able to top this come July.

I seemed to have a spefic liking to Thor although Iron Man was just a good from what I saw. I have yet to see The Avengers so I'll see how that plays out when I watch it.

Thats more than likely.ya see I get the love for Nolan(the man IMO has crafted some awesome Batman movies) but despise the type of fan TDK has created where they feel the need to crapon everything that isnt Nolans Batman. I dont understand and never will.

Thor(in my case at least)has got better with repeat viewings.I just watched it this morning actually and the scene where he gets Mjolnir back is a ing CRACKER. helps that its quite important(maybe moreso than the others)to The Avengers story.
