My dog ate a beer can (not mine). She is asleep right now... and seems to be alright... do you think I should worry about this?
She didn't eat the whole can, but a good amount of it.

I don't know man. Labs eat everything. Some drunk person must have left an empty beer can out. When I came home tonight, there was a chewed up beer can in the middle of the floor.
I am just imagining her (the dog) pooping up shards of aluminum. :/

Ah... Maybe you should consult, you know, a vet...
Seriously, my dogs have eaten some dumb stuff before, but never aluminum. I could see that being VERY bad for the dog, so I would definitely talk to a vet.

i would be a little concerned and have a vet check the dog out. i would be afraid that it might do some damage to the dog's insides. hope everything is good.

This is from a vet site that looked like it could be legit:
Aluminum can, chewed to pieces, can potentially pass. However, they are also quite sharp. So the best thing to do is to surgically remove them, which means you will have to go see your veterinarian or the ER for x-rays first to see if there are any in there. If that is not possible, then the only thing you can do is wait and see. If in the next 2-3 days he is still acting fine, no diarrhea, no vomiting, normal energy, no blood in the stool, then he should be ok. But it is still recommended to have x-rays taken just to be sure.

Definitely talk to a vet. You should be fine, but I would go ahead and check it with the vet.

My Lab literally eats everything. He ate one once and I brought him in the next day and they said he looked perfectly fine. But in hindsight I'm glad I brought him... Think about it. How bad would it suck if you chewed and swallowed an aluminum can? Then had to pass it out through your ass?

I'm gonna wait a day and see if she acts funny or poops blood. So far she is good. Dude, I am so pissed. ...and I feel bad for her. My dog had eaten plastic some years ago.
Give her sauerkraut and mash of potatoes. It will wrap the aluminum and prevent cuts in the stomach and intestine. And look at her dog-pile for metal.
But at the end a talk to a Vet would be the better choice.
