When I was younger I remember collecting the Classic 1990 WWF set. I eventually moved over to football and basketball cards until I stopped collecting entirely around 1997. Many years and two kids later, my oldest son started collecting Pokémon cards and while my youngest didn’t have any interest in Pokémon he wanted cards to open and that’s what brought him to the WWE blaster boxes. Each box having a piece of a worn shirt or ring mat was exciting . We bought blaster boxes for a year or so before we started buying hobby boxes. His first ever hobby box he pulled a Liv Morgan autographed kiss card and he’s been addicted ever since. Collecting WWE autographed cards is now a hobby that we enjoy together.

Enter. I haven’t been active in this thread because I couldn’t attend autograph signings due to obvious reasons. Of the post options, I think the obvious one for me is to tell a fond memory of getting an autograph/meeting a wrestler. I have so many stories in my massive meet and greet thread, so it would be redundant to simply extract a story from that thread. I’ll tell a memory of meeting a wrestler long before I had that thread (and before I even posted on here for that matter). Meeting Mr. Kennedy - 1/16/2009This was my first ever autograph signing and it took place at the Best Buy in the Toronto Eaton Centre. I was 11-years-old at the time of this signing (turning 12 that year) and given that it was my first signing, I didn’t know what to expect. All I knew was that you needed to buy Mr. Kennedy’s movie, Behind Enemy Lines, to be eligible for the autograph signing. Hoping to buy the DVD early and get more details, my mom and I went to the store the night before. We went to the customer service desk, asked about the signing and if we could purchase the DVD. Customer service had no idea what we were talking about, so we gave up and decided that we would come back tomorrow. The issue, however, was that the next day was a school day. I go to school like usual that day, but at some point in the early afternoon, my teacher is contacted by the school secretary because my parents are in the office looking to get me out for the day. I leave school early (to my surprise) and meet my parents at the office. We leave together and I am told that my mom went to Best Buy to get a wristband for the signing, but could not get me one because I wasn’t there. To make things ironic, Best Buy didn’t even have the DVD. She had to go to HMV to buy the DVD, which Best Buy had accepted to give her the wristband. Anyways, after we leave school, we go to Best Buy and the lady giving out wristbands recognizes my mom from earlier that day and gives me a wristband no problem. These wristbands had numbers on them to indicate what place you had in line. We were in the first 15 (possibly first 10). There were still 5-6 hours before the signing was to start, so we killed time elsewhere. We returned to Best Buy a few hours before the start time of 6. It was COLD. We were shivering so Best Buy’s staff got us some handwarmers to combat the cold. As we were waiting in line, a Best Buy guy is seen arriving at the store with a huge bag full of the DVDs (uhh.. a little late - lots of people said they had to buy their copy at HMV lol). We eventually gave up standing in line and waited inside the mall for a bit for warmth. We figured that since our wristbands are numbered, our spot will be held and it was. I don’t remember if the signing started on time, but my mom and I rejoined the line shortly before 6. They let us into the store in small batches at a time, snaking us through the aisles of the store. Soon after, a WWE representative comes out and tells us something like “Mr. Kennedy had a pretty long day today so it would be awesome if you could cheer and be loud for him”. A few minutes later, Mr. Kennedy comes out from the back. He approaches his table, stops, raises his arm up, and yells his signature “KENNEDY!” as the fans applause. If I’m not mistaken, the rule was one additional autograph after the DVD. The autograph collector in me today would bend that rule and maximize the number of autographs possible. However, given that this was my first autograph signing, I didn’t want to break any rules. I brought a magazine and two trading cards along with the DVD. Of the additional item on top of the DVD, I chose the magazine and decided to slip the two trading cards inside the magazine so I wouldn’t lose them. It is now my turn to meet Mr. Kennedy. I shake his hand and I don’t say anything lol. He signs my DVD. (Apologies for the poor angle of him signing the DVD. 11-year-old me was too excited to centre him in the frame) Then he signs my magazine. He also has a stack 8x10 photos and my mom asks, “can we get that too please?” which he does for us. We thank him and leave his table. [ Upon leaving the table, staff hands you a promotional poster for the DVD. However, Mr. Kennedy calls me back as I leave. It turns out that the trading cards I left in the magazine had accidentally slipped out onto his table and I didn’t notice (and neither did he until I left). He calls me: “hey bud, you forgot your cards”. I apologize and walk back to him. I had them in protective sleeves and I notice that he started taking them out of the sleeves. He was signing both of them too! Once he signed them, I thanked him again and reunited with my mom. And that’s the story. I was so extremely happy after this signing because it was my first one so at the time this was a new experience for me. I still get the same rush after every signing, but this one is special considering it was my first. Thanks for reading! Thanks for doing this BØRNS and thanks also to Mox for providing some of the prizes.

Idk if I can enter but: ENTER! It's nice reading people's stories. Good luck to others and thanks to the people for donating prizes and even doing this to honor our 500th page. I love wrestling cards so this is clearly one of my favorite threads here and brought me back to WFIGs after a lengthy absence (and kept me here). As for my story I don't really have one. I just love wrestling but didn't really collect the cards much growing up. I do recall buying some wrestling packs with my brother around 2002-2003. The diva sets were always a hit but I never really had any good cards til much later since the relics/autos for those sets were so rare. I really started collecting cards when Topps got the license and released Heritage 1. Again not super hardcore collecting just buying packs here and there for a couple years. I've said before in the past the set that really hooked me into collecting cards was the 2010 Platinum Performance set since the cards just looked really nice and I loved all the levels of rarity (with each card serial numbered). I find it fun to hunt down the good numbers and to get rarer versions of the cards than just the base or easy to get color variants. Since then my collection has gotten really big but lately I've done a fairly good job of focusing on a handful of my favorite male and female wrestlers. I'm always searching for deals so that reminds me that I need to stop rambling and go check for some deals at 12:28 AM.

Nice stuff.
I won my first Chrome 2020 card today.
*WWE Chrome 2022 Alundra Blayze orange parallel (5/25) for $5.73 shipped:
I won this card unchallenged so that is always nice. Solid price too for the rarity level. I like her a lot I just wish they would use a different picture for her because they have WORN this one out by using it for like 6-8 sets...
Most of the cards wwe has made of Alundra have that same image. It's so lazy.

^ I know. I HATE the lazy bastards at Topps. I'd do a much better job picking new fresh images for all the wrestlers. I mean how hard could it be?

I checked off probably all the x-fractors I'll get for this set in the last day or two. *WWE Chrome 2020 Naomi x-fractor for $3.80 shipped: I'm glad they gave Naomi a new card since they could have screwed her... They even gave her an image variant so Idk if those were made into x-fractors but if so I need to get that. I'll have to track down the various parallels for this card and the image variant later on but I'll wait til the prices fall.
*WWE Chrome 2020 Drew McIntyre x-fractor for $3.81 shipped: This is another card I'll eventually get in the other colors but I started with the x-fractor since it was cheap and I do like them.
*WWE 2020 Chrome Cesaro x-fractor for $3.81 shipped: Cesaro was my last main person to get a base card in this set (since these bastard snubbed Ziggler)... So I needed this card. Like the others I'll have to get the colored parallels later on.
*WWE Chrome 2020 Cameron Grimes x-fractor for 3.62 shipped: So I decided to start collecting Cameron Grimes. He won't be my main priority but if I find his stuff for cheap like this I'll get it.

I love the community of wrestling card world. I recently was about to get the UD 2020 holy grail of imperium people on here and Facebook groups messaged me when you hit.

I added this rare Gail Kim card to my collection:
*2007 Donruss Americana Gail Kim autograph relic for $18.76 shipped:
Gail is one of my OG favorite girls so anytime I see something of hers I don't have I watch it closely especially if the price is enticing. This card was priced right because the only other version of it at auction was a BIN of $45 so I figured I'd send an offer and see what happened. They countered so I countered them back... And our compromise worked so I'm happy.

I bought these two lots of cards in the last couple of days.
*WWE Summerslam 2019 Ziggler silver parallel (21/25), WWE RTWM 2020 Walter (43/99) and WWE RTWM 2020 Aleister Black mat relic (87/199) for $11.42 shipped:
I only wanted the silver parallel Ziggler relic, since I don't have any version of the card, but the seller would not accept an offer for just that.. I wanted to pay only $9.50 shipped for these three but he wouldn't accept under $10.50 (tax makes it more...) so I just let him win.. I guess I'll have to sell/trade the other two since I don't collect their stuff.
*WWE 2017 Cesaro shirt relic, Heritage 2015 Ambrose black parallel (/50) shirt relic, Heritage 2016 Kofi bronze parallel (/150) shirt relic, and Heritage 2012 Bryan shirt relic for $14.20 shipped:
I again got this lot mainly for one card so the rest are available to sell/trade. Most people should know by now that Cesaro is one of my main guys so I needed this relic since it's rare and the patch is really good. I think it is just the base so oh well but eventually I'll get the better rarity versions.

As a huge Rocky fan, I was super stoked to find & add this to the collection. Im actually thinking about making a custom canvas and gluing the sleeves to it to display on the wall.

I added this card to my Naomi collection:
*WWE 2019 Women's Division Naomi purple parallel (15/99) side plate relic for $6.74 shipped:
Sadly the idiots at the USPS lost a version of this card I won in a cheap lot that also had some parallels for Naomi I needed (and still don't have).. So I'm annoyed I had to get this again but what can you do you have to move on eventually?.. I do love the look of this card so hopefully they don't lose it again. I eventually would like to get the better rarities of it but only for decent prices.

Sadly the idiots at the USPS lost a version [/div][/quote] When did it get lost? In the last two months I had two items I sold go missing for a few weeks and one item for a few days. The first two had been lost in transit and the other delivered two days after it was scanned at delivered. So if it hasn't been too long maybe there is hope although with it being smaller it's probably much easier to get lost. My items were larger.

I'm sorry to hear that. I rarely had problems with items during the major covid problems though oddly enough I had two items over the last two days that were sent to the wrong houses and brought to me by the person who got them.

I haven't been active on here because I haven't bought any cards in quite some time now. Ever since Walmart stopped carrying single packs, I stopped buying since I usually just pack search. That also reminds me of the days when the 2010 Platinum set came out. Those were my favourite cards at the time (and still is one of my favs) and I bought a few blasters hoping to pull just 1 relic or even an auto but that never happened. When they came out, I tried super hard pack searching at every store that carried them and eventually I ended up finding 1 hot pack which contained my first autograph pull ever, a blue /99 Ted DiBiase Jr.
These days, I always keep up with whats coming and would often watch box breaks on YouTube. Hopefully one day I will be able to justify buying a box of Undisputed because those cards are amazing.

I won this card yesterday: *WWE 2020 Undisputed Ziggler gold parallel (2/10) for $2.51 shipped: This was a COMC eBay listing so I saved on shipping which was nice. I have an order of 15 cards or so I need to get shipped to me soon. Will post those later on. This card says it has a corner ding but I didn't see much. They are pretty cautious to state what they think is bad damage so I'm not too worried. Even if it does have it I paid less than $3 so I can't complain too much. I have the blue parallel and orange parallel of this card so now I really just need the green (/50) and hopefully the purple one day. Idk about the printing plate but now I want it even if this card isn't my favorite Ziggler card.

Has nobody bought any cards for Black Friday? I have some stuff to post but I am surprised nobody else bought anything since my last post over a week ago.
